Crema's Take

Luna Coffee Shop feels like stepping into a family's living room, where owner Alfredo and his mom treat every visitor like a regular, squeezing fresh OJ and preparing homemade food that tastes like it came straight from someone's kitchen. Beyond solid traditional coffee drinks, this North Bergen gem shines for its authentic Dominican fare—the Pollo Guisado and empanadas are standouts—making it the kind of place where you can grab a quick cafecito or settle in for hours and feel genuinely welcomed.

I came here last summer and loved this place! The Ice coffee was good and the breakfast was on point at a decent price. I was in between moving and tried to look it up, but it says it’s temporarily closed :( …. Where y’all at ??

Love this place, definitely a hidden gem. Alfredo and his mom were very welcoming and accommodating. The food had a fresh homemade taste to it, and the Lunas made me feel part of the family, which is rare these days in restaurants. I will definitely be replacing them as my go to coffee place. I wish them success. Support your local businesses !!!

Really quaint little coffee shop/restaurant with a delightful food selection. The Pollo Guisado and Empanadas were fantastic. I also really enjoyed the coffee. The staff makes you feel like family. Really glad there is this new addition to town. The area needed something like this!

Excited to be one of the first to review this little coffee shop. I’ve been here twice so far and the experience has been great both times. Everybody is very friendly and the service is pretty quick. It’s small inside but there are a few spots to sit. I think right now you will be able to find a seat easy, but in a few months as they gain popularity it may be more difficult. As for the food, I’ve only had the empanadas so far. Chicken was full of flavor and not too dry. The cheese one looked very good, my daughter is the one who had it. She said she liked it a lot. Excellent. I’ve had a cortadito for the first time here. Since I’ve never had it before I cannot compare it to others, but it was very tasty and had a good kick. The first time I went here I got the cafe con leche and it was a tad under what I would consider the perfect temperature. Today my wife’s cafe con leche was a little hotter than the perfect temperature. Both times the flavor was spot on though. All in all I recommend giving them a try.
