Crema's Take

Tucked inside an Irvine apartment complex, this cozy market and café has earned genuine love from neighbors who appreciate both the impressive grocery selection and the exceptional house-made food—particularly the breakfast burritos loaded with quality Serrano bacon and sausage, and baked goods that are hard to resist. It's the kind of place that feels more like a well-stocked community gathering spot than a typical café, offering reasonable prices and the rare convenience of having everything from fresh produce to homemade pastries within steps of home.

Recently purchased an item from Village Market, but later realized it was expired. I understand that mistakes can happen, but customers should always double-check expiration dates before buying — especially here. We did not keep the receipt, which was our mistake. However, when we returned to explain the situation and request a refund, we were refused. After that, I went back to the shelf where we found the product and noticed several more of the same items were also expired. Once this was pointed out, the manager immediately started removing the expired products from the shelves. This situation was disappointing. Stores should monitor expiration dates more carefully to avoid putting customers at risk. Sharing this so others can be more careful and always check dates before purchasing.

Having this market right inside our apartment complex has made life so much easier. The variety of items available is impressive, and the prices feel very reasonable considering how convenient it is. I was also pleasantly surprised by how good the hot food turned out to be. It’s become a really useful and reliable spot for everyday needs.

I regret not having a picture to share, but that’s only because I couldn’t resist devouring the burger before I thought to take one. At the heart of this village market in Irvine is an exceptional chef named Parvaneh. Her warm smile and dedication to her craft are as unforgettable as the food she prepares. She doesn’t just cook—she brings meals to life with love and care. The burger she crafted was nothing short of extraordinary, a masterpiece that could easily be served to a president at the White House. Even the way she wrapped it in food paper was an art form—functional, elegant, and ingenious. Using the paper, I enjoyed the burger with ease and precision—truly an elevated American experience. Parvaneh is more than a chef; she is a culinary artist who pours her heart into every dish. Her talent, hard work, and passion deserve the highest recognition—a lifetime award from the state of California and the United States. If you haven’t had the privilege of tasting her creations, make it a priority. This is food that doesn’t just satisfy—it inspires.

Amazing place! Has everything a normal store would have. (Fruit, veggies, cheese, many choices for sausage/meat, ice cream, milk, cake, chocolate, cereal, average things for home/care). It’s very cozy and has an outside area. The term cafe is correct because it has many drinks and pastries like Starbucks. The coffee is outstanding. They use the brand “illy” and it is delicious. Recommended!
