Caffe Antico

Crema's Take
“Caffe Antico is an unapologetic Neapolitan pizzeria where the wood-burning ovens and no-substitutions philosophy create an authentically Italian experience that even NY pizza snobs respect. The casual, communal vibe—where you seat yourself, pay upfront, and might share a table with strangers—feels less like a restaurant and more like stepping into a Roman piazza, making it as much about the atmosphere and the theater of those three working wood-fired ovens as it is about the saucy, chewy pizza itself.”

I was already over-the-top impressed with my “Diavola” pizza and the atmosphere. Then this guy (staff member) began to re-stock the firewood under each of the three wood burning ovens! Too cool. Love thi place. Will definitely return.
This place is a must! The pizza is fantastic (my NY pizza snob husband approves). It’s no nonsense. No substitutions, no half “pepperoni”. That’s what makes this place work. They know their pizza and don’t mess with it. We had a Margherita and it was delicious. They also have Peroni on draft and it’s cold and goes perfect with the pizza. Don’t deny yourself and just get the beer. Enjoy!
Very good pizza and the size is very big and I don't know the reason. Taste like in Italy or even better. But, you have to seat by your own, pay in advance, only big tables mostly shared, high price compared with restaurant. Pizza is big enough for 2 people
During peak hours, it’s hard to find parking (may have to street park nearby) and seating is limited — may have to wait for a table and /or sit with other groups. The pizza itself is very good — I ordered the margarita pizza, which had just the right amount of cheese for me. The crust was crispy and everything overall was fresh. The food comes out quick and the service is very efficient since you order at the counter.
TDLR: highly recommend as a spot to visit if you’re in the area. Not too far from GT campus and Cola Museum/Aquarium. ⭐️ The margarita pizza with anchovies was amazing! Saucy, chewy dough with yummy, burnt edges. Probably the most acidic pizza I’ve ever had (in a good way) Notes: - Some parking (4-5 spots) in front and ample parking in the back (plus street parking) - Intimate seating inside or cute, bench style seating outside on patio - Busy bees inside! Order and wait for a while. Recommend ordering ahead for pick up Great spot, glad our GT alum friend recommended here as a place to check out while visiting Atlanta for the weekend. We went around 7pm on a Sunday in September and there was a small wait to order. Although the inside seating was full, there was plenty of seating outdoors (around the back). The wait for the pizza took about 30 min (although there apparently was a large order ahead of us), so we just enjoyed the outdoors while we waited.
