Leaving 3 stars because the coffee is pretty good, but the girl working the register was unbelievably rude. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was bothering her just by asking about the sizes of the drinks. Then whenever I ordered I did say I wanted a specific drink, I just don’t think she heard me. Then whenever she just gave me a regular cold brew (which I paid for) I asked if it was the cozy cub. And she said “uh no. You said cold brew” so I asked if I could order the cozy cub. She said “that’s a latte” and was so rude when she said it. I would love to come back if the environment was a little nice. I get people have bad days, but it was as soon as I walked in the door.
Incredible find! I had to get the croissant based on other reviews and WOW! I have never had a more perfectly laminated, flaky, buttery croissant. For coffee, my partner got a mocha which was very smooth and perfectly balanced. Of course the latte art was gorgeous. I got an Americano, black, and everything was perfectly dialed in. I knew once I walked in and saw Counter Culture beans, they were starting off strong, but clearly the folks on bar knew what they were doing, too. Highly recommend!
Black Bear Coffee is hands-down the best locally owned coffee spot around. You can feel the local love the second you walk in—no corporate vibes, just good people doing coffee the right way. The drinks are consistently solid, smooth, and strong enough to actually wake you up (as coffee should). And let’s talk about the ham and cheese croissant because wow. Flaky, buttery, perfectly melty—absolute main character energy. It’s the kind of pastry that ruins all other croissants for you. Once you’ve had it, there’s no going back. If you’re looking for a cozy, dependable local coffee shop with great food and zero chain-coffee nonsense, Black Bear Coffee is it. Support local, eat the croissant, repeat. ☕🥐
OMG! I just ate the ABSOLUTE BEST spinach and artichoke croissant! I have been going there for croissants since they’ve opened. They are the best as well, but this thing I just ate blows my mind! What a Bakery!! You must try it. It’s an adorable old building that they did a renovation on. The staff is super pleasant, the prices are great and the food… Superb. I hope they manage to hang there, it’s a great addition to this little area
I am blown away by Black Bear Coffee! I grabbed some to-go croissant sandwiches, pastries, and a scone, and honestly, everything was incredible. The flavor and freshness were next-level. I couldn’t stop thinking about their chicken salad croissant and went back a few days later just to get it again. Their croissants are truly top-tier, flaky, soft, buttery, and absolutely reminiscent of the ones I’ve had in France. THE SCONES: Hands down the best I’ve ever had. I know it sounds dramatic, but I’m serious: you have to try this place. I don’t even drink coffee, so I can’t speak to that, but honestly, who cares when the food is this good? Treat yourself and go to Black Bear Coffee. Excellent food, amazing quality, and total perfection all around! 🐻🥐✨
