Crema's Take
“This cozy North Loop gem goes beyond the typical coffee shop by accommodating both specialty requests (like blended chai) and a surprisingly robust food menu that extends well beyond pastries. The dog-friendly atmosphere creates a genuinely warm community vibe, complete with a wall celebrating local pups, and their team is notably attentive whether you're calling ahead or dropping in—they even nail trendy drinks like the banana bread latte with care and speed.”

Came here on my day trip to Minneapolis from out of town. Called ahead to see if they make blended chai, because I know a lot of Twin Cities coffee shops don’t do blended drinks. They told me they hadn’t but could so we headed over. The drink was awful tasted mostly like milk and was chalky. I asked to add vanilla (I get a vanilla blended chai from my local coffee shop everyday) to see if it would help. Whatever they added tasted nothing like vanilla. I grabbed one of their bottled drinks and brought them my drink saying it just didn’t taste right and I’d just do this instead so they didn’t have to keep adjusting it. I was told that it wasn’t good because vanilla doesn’t go with chai, again I get this everyday. Then she threw my drink away & charged me another $5 for the bottled drink. We dropped over $20 here and left with one drink and one bottled drink that would’ve been comped anywhere else. Not to mention, the caramel vanilla frappe my girlfriend got that was actually on the menu was also gross. No courtesy or apology or offer to make the situation right, just another $5 added onto a very disappointing experience.
What a cozy little spot! The best part? I liked that they had a decent food menu. I feel like most coffee shops are limited to pastries but this place had many other options. I ordered a cup of the soup of the day which was a white chili chicken and it was fantastic! I also got a bottle of one of their smoothie drinks. I felt like the prices were actually better than most places too. The barista was also super sweet! The worst part? There is not a lot of seating but I liked that there are more seating options right outside, which we liked. There is also street parking which can sometimes be hard to find but we went around 2pm on a Friday and there were enough spots close by.
I’ve been enjoying the new interest of banana coffee and was excited to try the banana bread latte here! I ordered ahead and service was great and really friendly. Picking up was easy and all our drinks came quickly. The latte itself wasn’t my favorite, the banana flavor itself was a little faint, but it was a decent latte overall. I’d love to come back and try other specialty drinks soon!
Kind of a tight little space, which makes you feel like you’re always in the way. I loved the dog friendly nature and pictures of different dogs on the wall. I tried the banana bread latte, which was fine, but I wouldn’t seek it out. Service was friendly.
The staff were beyond kind and helpful. All the dogs on the wall don't compare to all the dogs that stopped in during my visit. 😍🐶 Cute, quite and definitely not what I expected from a north loop coffee shop! 💜 10/10 will come back.
