Crema's Take

This beloved Greenville breakfast spot strikes an inviting balance between a quick caffeine-and-pastry pit stop and a leisurely sit-down destination where the biscuits and chicken and waffles draw loyal crowds despite occasional wait times. The warm, family-friendly atmosphere and genuinely hospitable staff shine through even during rushes, making it a neighborhood gathering place where both day-trippers and locals feel genuinely welcomed. Fair warning: their biscuits are humble vehicles best appreciated with gravy, and patience is part of the experience here—but the fresh, made-with-care quality makes the wait worthwhile for many.

We decided to take a quick day trip out of CLT to Greenville. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I ordered the classic breakfast taco and bae ordered chicken and waffles. Absolutely delicious. And their orange juice is made fresh right in front of you. A plethora of coffee and soda options. Customer service was top tier. Highly recommend!

I wouldn't waste my money! The biscuits have no flavor at all unless it's served with gravy and then you get the flavor from the gravy. The eggs are dry. They also have no seasoning. The wait time is ridiculous. There were people that got there 10 people behind us and they got their food within 2 minutes after we got ours and we waited almost an hour! They're much better places to go and as far as the price goes, same. They do offer a military discount. The decor is simple but appropriate. They didn't get out name right on the ticket & had I not been standing right there, it would have been there for quite a while. They do not have an intercom system so when they're busy it's very hard to hear the name calls anyway. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was great & my oat milk chai tea good as well. They're supposedly known for their signature bacon but honestly it wasn't any better than thick cut maple bacon from grocer. Having been a chef I am very particular about what I eat. I would pay good money for good food & service, but one of the first things you learn as a cook is if you can cook an egg correctly you can cook anything. This place is a breakfast place learn how to cook all of your eggs people. And please, add some flavor to the basics. . . Layer your flavors. Otherwise, if you're looking for a good place to get coffee and juice this would be it. For food however I say skip this one.

Super busy with the holiday's breakfast crowd, we still got our meal in a decent amount of time. This ain't Waffle House or Mc Donald's so expect your food to not come immediately. Good food takes a little longer. The menu is varied enough for vegetarians to enjoy a meal. Two different types of gravy; mushroom and sausage, so one could easily enjoy biscuits and gravy on a vegetarian diet. Generous portions, fantastic bacon, great biscuits, waffles and fried chicken. And more. NO TIPPING necessary. It's built in and I appreciate that. Good variety of coffees and in a mug which was nice. Busy your own tables. Outdoor seating available. Good food, great location if you're downtown, friendly staff. Will return!

My friend and I came in last minute… 10 minutes till closing, and staff was still extremely polite and welcoming, even though we arrived late. The food was fresh and delicious and warm and the orange juice was fresh pressed. It was amazing. I had some breakfast tacos and fried eggs. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone in the Greenville area or visiting.

The food was pretty good. My score is a little lower just because of the wait time we walked in with pretty much no one in line ordered right away and still waited. 36 minutes to get our food, I was just hoping the future they start telling people around how long the wait time will be just to get their food. It would be a little bit more handy!once again I do wanna mention the food was really good. I would say, though you cannot eat the biscuits with your hand like a traditional biscuit. You would have to use a fork and knife as well as on the screaming goat, you get too much of that pepper jelly!
