Barb's Coffee House
1649 Florida Mall Ave, Orlando, FL
Crema's Take
“Barb's is a welcoming independent gem where espresso excellence meets genuine hospitality—their iced lattes punch with strong, balanced flavor, and the matcha and pastries (especially those generously-filled chocolate croissants) keep regulars coming back. The baristas here are known for their patient, kind approach to helping you find your perfect order, and the community-focused atmosphere makes it feel less like a coffee stop and more like stepping into a space where you belong.”

I love stopping at Barbs coffee before or after service. My favorite is the matcha. The pastries are also good too! Customer service is always pleasant and the reward system is a bonus since I’m able to get a free coffee after 10 stars ✨💖
Their iced latte has a great strong espresso flavor. Even with flavoring it’s not too sweet which I like. The chocolate croissant had a bunch of chocolate filling which was good. Barista was very nice and friendly too. Would return!
1st of all ,as other people already wrote, the people working here are so kind and helpful in deciding what to order. I took a coffe with caramel and white mocha that was delicious with a fantastic taste I kept in my mouth for at least more than half an hour and my plain croissant 🥐 with a bit of honey was also very good! Highly recommended
In my quest to find coffee shops that are independently owned I came across Barb’s coffee house on Google. My cars navigation got me to the address specified, which turned out to be a church in an industrial space, but being an intrepid explorer, I persevered and found a flag outside a little garden on the side of church advertising Barb’s. The coffee shop counter is through the door. Inside is a cavernous room - presumably the lobby of the church - with enough comfortable seating for at least 50 people. Read a couple of the other reviews below first an explanation of the church and its mission. Very commendable. For me my main interest is the coffee and a comfortable place to sit. The caramel latte was delicious, as was the enormous cinnamon roll I ate while drinking the coffee, together they only cost $9. Marvelous. There were many comfortable seats. The background music was calming. This is definitely a coffee shop to go out of your way to visit.
Love, love, love the community, the coffee, the culture and the atmosphere! The concept and creativity gives all the feels. I enjoyed the atmosphere the most the customer service was so patient and friendly. Anytime I’m in the area I will make it my mission to always grab something from here. I was able to get some writing done and enjoy my Matcha.
