Crema's Take

MC Coffeehouse shares space with a chocolate shop in Rapid City, and while service can feel understaffed during busy times, their espresso work really shines—one visitor raved about their "Cowboy in New York" latte as one of the best they'd had in a while. The cozy spot offers genuine comfort for lingering or working, with outlets at every table and reliable wifi, though coffee quality seems to depend on timing (drip coffee gets mixed reviews when held in warming jugs). It's a solid choice if you're craving a thoughtfully-made espresso drink and don't mind the chocolate-shop vibe with its boombox soundtrack and breathtaking views.

Couldn’t get served, felt like trying to get a bartenders attention. Chocolate looked great but gave up and had to leave. Coffee is kept in warming jugs, which is usually an indicator it’s old, weak or both.

We stopped for coffee on our road trip and ordered drip coffee. My coffee was great and we enjoyed watching them make chocolate treats while we waited. My daughters ordered chocolate covered strawberries for breakfast, which they devoured. I felt like the vibe was calm and perfect for the setting. If you're looking for a great option away from hotel coffee ( or "groffee" (gross coffee) as we call it) and down with a break from the hipster/snooty vibe, this is it. You will get a nice cup of coffee and a beautiful, relaxing view. The customer service was very friendly and we had a great experience to start our day of travel to Glacier NP. A much needed blessing on a long road trip.

Visited about a month ago. The latte was weak; tasted like weak coffee. The views are nice, but the atmosphere isn't high quality. Boombox for music. The coffee shop is more of an add-on to the chocolate shop, sharing the same space.

Had the Cowboy in New York latte on my way out of town earlier. One of the best lattes I've had in a while. Not too sweet but nice and balanced. I'm curious what they use for espresso beans because I want to order some.

Cozy coffee shop with breathtaking views! First time visiting South Dakota & this spot blessed us. Also is a great spot to do work: comfortable seats, outlets at every table, & great WiFi!
