The atmosphere is quaint and rather sweet for a small, hole-in-the-wall cafe. It’s one of the VERY FEW places in San Francisco that has high quality, unsweetened matcha. As another bonus, they open at 6 AM, which is really convenient for people that have to work the early morning shift on weekends. Most other places that feature matcha have a sweetener mixed in with the powder, or they open between 10-11 AM daily. So this is the underdog that deserves its recognition. The guy who does the opening shift remembered me from last time, which was really sweet. I’m definitely going there again. Happy National Matcha Day everyone. 🍵
