Honeybee's

Crema's Take

This Long Beach spot struggles with consistency across an ambitious menu that spans coffee, bowls, sandwiches, and boba, leaving customers frustrated by long waits and quality misses like burnt espresso and stale acai bowls. While the occasional staff member earns genuine praise for their warmth and politeness, the kitchen seems stretched too thin to deliver on its promises, making visits feel like a gamble between decent service and disappointment. If you're looking for a quick, reliable coffee experience, Honeybee's hasn't quite figured out how to balance their wide-ranging ambitions with execution.

The acai bowl is not fresh, it looks and tastes like it was sitting in the freezer, blue berries are old and banana tastes old too! Never again! Horrible service

I usually don’t write reviews, but we ordered a coffee and the honeybee sandwich. The coffee was burnt, so we ask to swap it with something else. We took a bite of the sandwich and the bacon was completely raw!! Overall terrible.

1. WAY TOO LONG for the quality of product served. 2. Menu is contributing factor with burgers, bowls, coffees, boba: they have to stock too many items, and obviously have the staff shortfalls that contribute to the wait, frustration and experience. 3. Hours are minimum effort, it’s more than obvious the inexperienced staff or owners hoped for more foot traffic and profit from online orders. In reality this boutique eatery is surrounded by family style homes = no foot traffic when they are open and more competent and attractive online options for this business to compete. Very negative experience and it’s probably best to be replaced with a more competent owner and streamlined menu. 45 minutes for a salad that basic and in no way worth the price.

The lady helping me today was very polite and had great customer service. About the menu. I wish they would specify what they add in their smoothies. Many other people do not drink regular milk. My açaí bowl was good, but the fruit wasn’t as fresh or good quality. Overall I will definitely be back to try more drinks and their food.

5 STARS ALL THE WAY! Local, convenient, and delicious is what comes to mind when I think of HoneyBee's. I moved into the area almost a year ago now and I drove by this place everyday to and from work since I live about 3 blocks away. In all honesty I never stopped by because I'm always running late to where I should be or the times I thought about stopping it looked busy and again I am usually running too late to wait lol This time around I was off and had just finished a morning cycling class and decided, today is the day I try this place and I'm so happy I did. First off all Isabella was AMAZING! She was so welcoming and very helpful, her bubbly and beautiful personality is so contagious and made my visit outstanding. I knew I wanted an Açai bowl but they had a few options so she gave me her best recommendation and totally explained to me what they have to offer. Since my first visit I have been here a hand full of times now and every time I have stopped by the service is nothing but the best and the açaí bowls are always PERFECT! I love my açaí bowls made with extra peanut butter and no coconuts, they never have a problem with altering any order to your liking. Located in a residential neighborhood with only street parking, HoneyBees has indoor and outdoor seating and is a nice quiet place to sit and hangout or maybe get some work done. I’m so happy this cute place is located blocks away from my living situation so I can stop by anytime I please :) Hope you enjoy!
