Saigon Blvd Bánh Mì

Crema's Take
“This vibrant Catonsville spot has cracked the code on authentic bánh mì, with housemade baguettes that are impossibly crispy outside and pillowy within, filled with tender in-house roasted pork belly and traditional Vietnamese ingredients that keep customers coming back obsessively. The owner's genuine passion for the craft shines through in every sandwich, and the freshly baked pastries pair perfectly with their traditional Vietnamese coffee—you'll find yourself working toward those loyalty rewards (five sandwiches earns you a free drink) because you genuinely can't stay away. It's the kind of place where you discover a new favorite food and suddenly understand why everyone's raving about it.”

I am so happy to have a Bahn Mi sandwich nearby. It looks clean and well kept. The banquettes are made in house with delicious pork belly and other meats. One sandwich fills me up for both lunch and dinner.
Beware! You might get addicted! I'd never had Bahn Mi before coming here, but now I think about it all the time and go whenever I can. The owner is super friendly and passionate about his food. I've had almost all of the sandwiches, and they're all excellent. I just tried the new shrimp Bahn Mi today, which he'd been working on for months, but wouldn't put on the menu until it consistently passed his high standards. It was great, of course. I very highly recommend this shop!
😋 Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—that’s exactly what bánh mì🥖(aka Vietnamese hoagie bread) is supposed to be, and Saigon Blvd. absolutely nailed it—especially since they freshly bake new bread on-site every day (no outsourcing). This was my first time meeting Mrs. Thu, and definitely not my last. She truly understands and demonstrates what quality, nutritious ingredients and a deliciously moist bite should taste like. Plus the place is absolutely spotless—next-level care for cleanliness (major bonus 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)!
Great food and staff! If you buy 5 banh mi you get a free drink. If you buy 10, you get a free banh mi I went with 5+ free drink (iced coffee) but I also could not resist the tri-color dessert "Chè Ba Màu", which is a tri-color dessert I enjoyed as a kid. Chè Ba Màu aka tri color bean dessert: 5/5 You can buy pre-iced to take home and enjoy later or they can add the crushed ice and mix for you to eat with spoon and I do recommend a boba straw Vietnamese iced coffee: 4/5 Bold and strong. Part of me wished it was a tad sweeter personally, but very tasty Banh Mi 5/5: Large and good size sandwiches. Bread and veggies were fresh and crunchy Dac Biet (Traditional) I normally dont like traditional with pate, but this was very tasty. Grilled Pork Always my go to. Delicious Indoor Seating/Dining: There's no room to dine in, but they have 2 benches outside. You can probably stand and eat at the window inside as well, but I can see the inside fill up quickly with about ~12ppl Overall, great food, staff and very clean restaurant! Can't wait to go back and try more
Wife and I are huge foodies and normally travel for all kinds of foods. One of our favorite Vietnamese dishes are Summer Rolls and Banh Mi sandwiches. A blogger that I follow on IG reviewed this place, so today we decided to give it a try. We ordered a couple different Banh Mi’s - the BBQ pork and Grill pork. For those who are familiar with this dish, the bread is the star of this dish and the baguette was fresh and had a nice crunch with every bite. Both of the meats were seasoned well bursting with flavor and the pickled carrots and daikon were nice and thick. They offer many different options for summer rolls and while the safe side of me wanted to stick with just the “traditional / original” style, we decided to venture off and got the Grilled Beef, Grilled Sausage, Shredded Pork, and Grilled Pork. All of them were delicious in their own way and they each come with different sauces. While we were there we also got the original Cafe Su Da (Vietnamese iced coffee) which was delicious but my favorited was the Salted Latte which tastes like a Salted Caramel coffee. Staff was very friendly and got all of the food and drinks out in a timely manner. The only thing that could be better was the dining in space. They really don’t have a ton of room indoors and the only sit down spot are the tables outside. Absolutely love this place and excited to have a great Banh Mi place here in Maryland without having to travel to DC / VA.
