Birmingham Breadworks

Crema's Take
“This beloved neighborhood corner spot in Birmingham wins people over with genuinely excellent pastries—think massive, flaky ham and cheese croissants and house-made sourdough breads—plus solid espresso drinks that pair perfectly with their Alabama bird sandwich and light fare. The vibe shifts seamlessly from quick-grab convenience to slow, lingering conversations, making it equally suited for a solo coffee moment or settling in with friends, though your experience hinges heavily on which staff member is behind the counter. At its best, this place delivers the kind of warm, genuine hospitality that makes people genuinely grateful they found it on a rainy day.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

Tried this place for the first time. Ham and cheese croissant was HUGE. It was also super flaky and fluffy. Delicious. The chain latte was good as well. Can't wait to go back and try other things.
The coffee sign caught my eye on a cool rainy day. I am VERY THANKFUL that it did. Dusty was so chipper and friendly with a wonderful warm and contagious smile. Hands down best customer service EVER! The food was the best I’ve had in a long time. 100% recommend!
Where do I start?! Honestly I didn’t have high expectations when I arrived here. It seemed more like a neighborhood spot that people frequented not particularly because it was good but because it was spacious, available, and easy to get to. Well I was wrong. While insider is…
