Crema's Take

Tucked into downtown Raleigh, this espresso-focused café nails both the coffee and the comfort, with reviewers raving about latte craftsmanship and a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for lingering over work or conversation. Beyond the reliably excellent espresso drinks, the kitchen shines with surprisingly delicious light fare—from silky congee on cold days to a full breakfast menu—and the matcha tea is just as carefully crafted as the coffee. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood spot that makes you want to come back again and again, even if an occasional dish misses the mark.

The food is delicious, but the Tea is the real star. The drinks are always crafted perfectly—best latte in town, hands down.

Been coming here for a while now and today was the first time I ever had issues. My grits were watery and even the cheese didn’t help to thicken it up. It also didn’t taste like grits. Definitely a waste of my money since I took a bite and threw it away. Smoothie was good though.

Really liked this little place for a light lunch, before going to a busy work day. Tried the iced mocha, with an extra shot of espresso. Spot on, nice and strong, but tasty. Also went for the roast beef melt, which was pretty good. I wish the meat to bread ratio was more on the roast beef side, but the sandwich was good. The atmosphere inside was cozy and comfortable. The seating area outside, however, is where it's at. The breeze, the buzz of the working groups around, it just made for a perfect relaxing bit of time before my busy day. I got a good size coffee, tasty lunch including a chocolate chip cookie for about twenty bucks. Not bad!!!! Check 'em out!!!
