Crema's Take

Tucked near the University of Washington, M Cozy Fusion Cafe blends Asian-inspired creativity with coffee culture, earning particular praise for standout drinks like their Dark Night cold brew and rich matcha lattes that pair beautifully with inventive brunch items like ube pancakes. The modern, cozy atmosphere makes it ideal for lingering over laptop work or gathering with friends, though you'll want to arrive early or scan their waitlist code in person since their online system needs some work. Fair warning: while the specialty drinks and unique vibe are genuinely worth a visit, the food quality can be inconsistent, and portions lean pricey for what you're getting.

4 stars is for food only. Wait time was okay since we arrived early, knowing we had a group of seven. The online waitlist does not work—you have to scan the code when you arrive to get on the waitlist. After your table is called, you go up to order. The person taking our order was not nice or helpful. I understand it’s self-serve where you get your own water, plates, and utensils, but if ordering is not self-serve, then at least be helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were great, but going back to the staff—they were terrible. It almost made me not want to tip. We ordered everything from the best sellers list: Rib Eye Bánh Mì Chảo – We actually ordered two because it was amazing and because this is hard to share. The rib eye was good quality and cooked perfect. Flavor on point. Bò Kho Sizzling – Also really good and tender. The flavors paired perfectly with the baguette. Chicken Wings & Pandan Waffle – The fish sauce chicken wings were out of this world, and the wings were huge. The pandan waffle didn’t even need syrup—it was perfect on its own. Ube Pancake – Really delicious. There were chunks of ube in the pancake, and the coconut sauce was excellent—not overly sweet. Thai Tea French Toast – This was disappointing. The cinnamon overpowered all the flavors, and the Thai tea syrup was just sweet without much Thai tea flavor. All the drinks were good—we ordered both hot and cold drinks, including the Purple Haze, Coffeeholic Dreams, and the Valentine’s Flight. Overall, I would return for the delicious food, but the staff definitely need to improve their customer service.

Great Coffee Shop with Unique Drinks! Really enjoyed this coffee shop! They have unique drinks and great food, and my absolute favorite is the Dark Night coffee half-sweet — so good! The vibe is nice and the flavors really stand out compared to other places. The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow, but the quality of the drinks makes it worth the wait. Overall, a lovely spot to relax and enjoy something on trend . ☕✨

Food is ok but kinda overpriced for what it is. The omelette was quite dry. The pancake was not very flavorful other than being purple. The matcha is quite rich, but a strange combination with the purple foam. Would probably not go back. No wait at 10am on a weekend, but shortly becomes packed afterwards.

If you’re near the University of Washington and looking for a brunch spot that breaks the mold, this Asian fusion cafe is a must-try. From the moment you walk in, the cozy, modern vibe sets the tone for a laid-back yet flavorful experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the U-District—this spot is doing something special, and it’s definitely worth supporting!

What a wonderful Cafe tucked away across university village. We tried the peach refresher and matcha latte and the perfect duo ube pancakes and they all deserve 5 stars! I love how nothing was overly sweet and everything taste like what the raw and fresh ingredients should taste like! Beautiful setting, clean, great location (lots of nice outdoor shopping next door), and friendly, smiley staff!
