Rebel Dog Coffee
361 Main St, East Hartford, CT
Crema's Take
“Rebel Dog Coffee strikes that sweet spot between a laid-back neighborhood hangout and a serious coffee destination, with espresso drinks and pour overs that clearly earn their 4.4-star rating when executed well. The vibe is genuinely chill with a dog-friendly patio, solid breakfast options like their noted breakfast burger, and reasonable pricing that won't break the bank on a casual morning stop. It's the kind of place that rewards a short detour off the highway—especially if you catch them on a quieter Sunday morning before the rush.”

Went there in a sunny 50s morning, primarily attracted by the store name - Rebel Dog - cool cool. Had egg Benedict and latte - food was alright and vibes is chill. In total cost me $20, slightly expensive than what I thought but not bad as for USA price
Ordered door dash a couple of times. They forgpot ingredients on my sandwich twice. They sold me EXPIRED ORANGE JUICE. Door dash thought appropriate compensation was $1.86. The orange juice alone costs more than that. What restaurant doesn't keep up on expirations?! Disgusting.
Very good breakfast burger and iced latte. OK hash bowl. Awful coffee. I think I might have had the end of a batch and should have complained, but I didn't. Service was helpful and friendly and the space is pretty unique for what we expected driving through the neighborhood to get there.
I stumbled upon Rebel Dog Coffee completely by accident while I was in East Hartford, and WOW, am I glad I did! This was easily one of the best "wrong turns" I've ever taken. The moment I walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the place is. It has a fantastic, buzzing atmosphere. It's clearly a popular spot, as there were many people studying and working on laptops. It must be near the local college because it has this perfect, energetic, yet focused vibe. Despite being busy, the ambiance was just great. Now, let's talk about the most important part: the coffee. It was absolutely PHENOMENAL. I'm not exaggerating. This was easily one of the best, most delicious, and smoothest cups of coffee I have had in recent memory. You can tell they are passionate about quality. I was just looking for a quick caffeine fix and instead found my new favorite coffee shop. I will absolutely be making a special trip to come back. 10/10, 5 stars all the way. Highly recommend!
This location is just a short detour off the highway, and we highly recommend it! There was no line when we arrived on Sunday around 9:30am. The pumpkin spice latte with coconut milk was heavenly. Made with pumpkin puree it tasted like liquid pumpkin pie. YUM! Breakfast sandwiches are cooked to order with many toppings and bread (including gluten free) options. We had an English muffin with Eddie and Swiss and a GF egg BLT. Lots of seating indoors and great atmosphere.
