Crema's Take

Common Bond in Garden Oaks has built a devoted following for their exceptional pastries and desserts—particularly their brown butter triple chocolate cookies and macarons—that inspire customers to travel distances just to visit. While their cappuccinos and convenient drive-thru setup make it an easy weekend grab, expect to arrive early, as popular items frequently sell out by mid-morning despite solid service and a clean, welcoming space.

First time here, and 1,000% the last time, ordered bacon egg and cheese on ciabatta, and a capucino for 14 bucks, (tip included)on a to-go order that took 18 mins to be ready (Saturday at 9am) Food is cold, presentation is terribly depressing and nothing like the pictures online, service was atrocious and people who came after me got their food before me. (They also ordered in person and has more items than me, and 2 items were also sandwiches like mine) I think I had a better chance at going to to the Starbucks down the street, save yourself the headache, dont give it a shot like i did

Came on valentine day and received great service. I purchased 3 cookies and 2 macarons. I travel a far distance to come here specifically for their desserts. Ps, their brown butter triple chocolate is a must try

I picked up a bakery bag through the Too Good To Go app, and this was my first time visiting Common Bond. Everything was fantastic—from the baked goods to the service. Ty, who helped me, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about all the products, and just overall wonderful. I even witnessed him handle a customer service issue, and he did so with real compassion and grace. Such a great first experience—I’ll definitely be back!

This location is pretty convenient for a quick drive through option that does also have indoor seating. The staff are anyways helpful, the place is always clean. Pastries are anyways a hit. The iced coffee could be a hit or miss being a bit watered down. I would be lying if I didn't say I was devastated when they rolled out flavors for the frozen bond because the drink became instant liquid with no frozen to speak of after that. They used to make it with the coffee added so it was frozen blended heaven, but now that there are flavors they just use the frozen base, then add hot coffee to it which melts the "frozen" away making it a basic cold coffee. 😢😢 - Food options are pretty good, just not the cheapest option out there.

This location always runs out of things early in the morning, which doesn’t make sense considering the type of food they sell. Most recently, they were out of candied bacon (again) at 9:10am. I ordered the regular bacon instead, only to get home and discover that it was completely burnt and inedible. The cream cheese and scallion biscuits were undercooked with raw dough inside. I also had to throw those away. This location is under poor management, so I do not plan to revisit until they have improved.
