Crema's Take
“Kavat Coffee is a welcoming haven where the baristas genuinely know their craft—whether it's guiding uncertain customers through espresso choices, accommodating dietary needs like celiac concerns, or crafting smooth, balanced pour overs that shine without harsh acidity. The space buzzes with a community feeling that extends from thoughtful specialty drinks like Masala Chai and Horchata Matcha to curated merchandise that reflects the shop's personality, making it the kind of place where you want to linger with friends or family and come back for their high-quality beans to brew at home.”

Welcomed in. Was complimented. Was helped / guided in choosing a drink (I was not ready when I got to the counter), and immediately felt comfortable. They were knowledgeable on celiacs and helped me avoid the things I couldn't have. My partner who does not have celiacs was able to enjoy an etheopian pour over, the pecan pie bar and some baklava. I ended up getting a terracotta latte with banana cold foam and I fear I will never enjoy another cold foam more in my life lol.
Ara, the coffee maestro, and Grace the barista were wonderful to be with. They made the coffee with love and our experience amazing. We bought merch (obviously we are SOAD heads) and had a wonderful conversation. Thank you Serj, Ara, and the team for being amazing. Salamati.
I was introduced to this coffee shop by my sister when she got us a bag we used to make coffee at home for lunch with family. Very high quality. I ended up buying some for myself and a friend. Very calm and friendly guy working the counter. Would definitely bring other here. Only one downside; the parking in this area is rough. But that's alright, most of the time I would make coffee at home, so I would just buy here, have them grind it, and the bag has a good seal to keep things fresh. Side note- this place was founded by one of the musicians for System of a Down and they seem to have a mini-museum/merch store in the back. They also sell coffee pots (jazveh style), and I like that they're large, much better for gatherings.
Everything was absolutely amazing, the staff was so friendly and getting to see any the SOAD merch and artwork was super cool. My coffee was super smooth, not super acidic and the pastries were delicious and not dry at all!!! The banana bread was the winner though!! Sooooooo good!
My wife had been wanting to check out Kavat Coffee for quite some time, and we finally made it happen! We ordered the Masala Chai, Horchata Matcha, and a Cheese Danish. The barista who took our order and made the drinks was super friendly and welcoming — great customer service goes a long way. ☕✨ Both drinks were delicious and had unique flavors — especially the Masala Chai, which had the perfect spice balance. The only downside was that the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the overall experience made it worth it. The café has a nice, cozy vibe — perfect for a weekend coffee date or catching up with friends. If we’re back in the area, we’d definitely stop by again!
