Crema's Take

Tucked into a humble corner spot on Kearny Street, Cafe V punches well above its modest appearance with generously portioned breakfast burritos that rival the city's fancier spots—think crispy bacon, avocado, and creative proteins like spam that won't empty your wallet. The quick, friendly service and fresh ingredients make it the perfect grab for between-meeting fuel or a leisurely breakfast, with their boba and musubi offerings adding to the appeal beyond just solid coffee.

Forgot breakfast, needed something fast between meetings. Found V Cafe. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside – just a small corner shop. But the food hits way above its weight class. Got their egg sandwich on a croissant with added ham. Ready in minutes, which was clutch. The croissant was fresh and flaky, the egg and melted cheese were spot-on, but the real standout was their mixed vegetable spread. Whatever they put in there turned a solid breakfast sandwich into something actually memorable. I’ll definitely be back.

Enjoyed the breakfast burrito, which came out very quickly. Very generous with the avocado and bacon.

One of the best breakfast burritos in SF! I also really like their boba and spam musubi and unagi musubi. Their meat lovers burrito rivals Il Canto (I like that it is smaller and cheaper and has spam!) Good spicy aioli and lots of meat. It’s grilled to perfection and doesn’t ruin me for the day by putting me in a food coma. Prices are reasonable. It’s run by an adorable and kind and hardworking husband-and-wife duo. They do a pretty good DoorDash business as well. Fresh ingredients and good quality made with love!

Stumbled upon V Cafe LLC on Kearny St while looking for a good breakfast sandwich and coffee that wouldn't wreck my wallet — and I’m so glad I did! This place is literally a hole-in-the-wall, with just enough space inside to place your order. No seating inside, but there are a couple of tables and chairs right outside if you want to hang around. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately shown the tablet to place my order. What impressed me most? She already started preparing my food even before I finished placing and paying for the order — talk about fast service! I went with the deluxe breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel (see photo), and wow, it did not disappoint. Generous portion, great quality, and easily one of the better breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in the city — especially for the price. Their menu is noticeably cheaper than most other spots in the area, and the value is unbeatable. If you’re in FiDi and want a quick, satisfying breakfast that doesn’t cost $15+, check this place out. Hidden gem for sure!

Congrats V Cafe on the amazing opening!! I love this place and have been returning frequently. Portions are generous, ingredients are super fresh, staff is so nice. Super convenient and fast. Pictured below is my go-to lunch: the poke bowl with sushi rice, salmon and tuna, cucumbers, avocado, sweet corn, imitation crab salad, soy sauce, the house poke sauce and crispy fried onions as the garnish. Also pictured is the bacon avocado breakfast burrito. It's toasted on the outside and very tasty. Go to V Cafe! Totally worth it!
