Loved the bacon and egg sandwich! so good! also the orange juice was really nice. Loved how the sandwiches are served, really comfortable for you to handle! the place is a bit small but it’s good for a fast breakfast option 🍳
My wife and I are first time visitors to Chicago from the UK and needed a place for breakfast close to our hotel whilst getting used to the area. If you’re anywhere near N Michigan Avenue and don’t stop at Egg Tuck, you’re genuinely missing out. We both ordered the bacon and cheese sandwich with a side of loaded tots, and I don’t say this lightly, it was exceptional. The eggs were perfectly soft and buttery, the bacon had that ideal balance of crisp and chew, and the cheese melted through everything in a way that felt indulgent without being greasy. Every bite was balanced. Nothing overpowered. Nothing sloppy. Just proper execution. And the loaded tots? Ridiculous. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, generously topped but not drowning, exactly how they should be. Comfort food done properly. Now, I’m not easy to impress. I’m an accomplished and confident home cook, and I’m usually the one critiquing seasoning levels or texture. This? No notes. Just appreciation. It completely lived up to the viral reputation, but without feeling like a gimmick. Quality first, hype second. A brilliant start to our Chicago food tour. Would go back tomorrow without hesitation.
Amazing quality food.I am returning customer from different city who travel to Chicago often but never miss to visit Egg tuck due to their yummy egg sandwiches and loaded fries with Finger-licking in house mayo. I never tried before taking away their sandwiches but today when I did.. to my surprise, they have awesome packing which kept my sandwiches fresh and intact for hours after packaging .
Eggtuck is such a brilliant concept. We ended up here multiple mornings during a busy conference week, and it was exactly what we needed. The tater tots were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The eggs were cooked just right, and everything comes together in such an easy, satisfying way. If I had one of these near me, keeping my cholesterol in check would be a lot harder.
It was so good that we ended up going back two days in a row for breakfast. I tried both the classic and the avocado version, and I preferred the avocado one. Their orange juice was great as well. Prices are very reasonable for how delicious everything is, and the portions kept us full until lunch. There were always lines, but the food came out faster than at other restaurants.
