Crema's Take

Cafecito Social pushes beyond standard espresso drinks with Guatemalan-inspired creations like cardamom lattes and savory pastries that feel genuinely inventive without sacrificing coffee quality. The space itself is a draw—bright, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with limited outdoor seating that makes lingering feel intentional rather than rushed. If you want specialty coffee that tastes interesting rather than just technically competent, this corner spot in Prospect Heights is worth the trip.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, with creative signature drinks. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and pastries on the menu. Family friendly.

This place just opened… and WOW! The flavors are so unique (Guatemalan-inspired), atmosphere is lively, and the coffee is just delicious! I had a cardamom latte and parmesan & black pepper twist. Both were great — I will definitely be back. So glad it’s finally open :)
