Kolaj Beverages Bites & Delights

Crema's Take
“Nestled on Union Street in Cow Hollow, Kolaj is a warm Mediterranean haven run by a passionate Syrian owner who infuses genuine hospitality into every visit—think rose water lattes alongside döner wraps in a bright, thoughtfully designed space that feels equally welcoming for a solo work session or a celebration with loved ones. The staff's kindness is as memorable as the carefully crafted drinks and light Mediterranean fare, making this gem feel less like a coffee stop and more like a neighborhood gathering place where you're treated like family.”

Beautiful space with extremely tasty food. The staff / owners are so kind and helpful. The space is bright, open, and quiet enough to work/study. Coffee is great! I also got a rose water latte which was so tasty. The falafel sandwich is one of the best ones I’ve had in the city
Kaloj is such a gem for a Mediterranean halal brunch spot. The staff member was incredibly nice and friendly, which instantly made the experience feel welcoming. The space itself is cozy, warm, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxed brunch vibe. There’s paid parking available nearby, which is convenient. We ordered the breakfast chicken burrito, and I added avocado to mine. The chicken was amazingly soft and tender, and the little dash of hot sauce tied everything together perfectly. The flavors were balanced, comforting, and honestly so satisfying. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend for brunch lovers looking for halal options.
We were walking down Union Street and came across Kolaj, a Mediterranean restaurant with a clean, simple space run by a Syrian owner. We ordered the Kolaj beef döner wrap and chicken döner wrap, and both were fresh and good. The sauce had a mix of spices, cinnamon, yogurt, and garlic, which worked well together. The vegetables and meat tasted fresh. At the end, the owner offered us baklava and a sample of Italian coffee, which was sweet and nice. The owner and staff were friendly. I’d come back again if you’re looking for something quick, fresh, and healthy.
I stopped by here for lunch before a meeting. It’s a small cafe on a busy street in Cow Hollow. The inside is pretty nice; not a ton of seating but has nice decor and would make for a good place to get some work done while you eat. Service was solid — it was just one person working there but he was kind and prompt. He also kept things very clean! I appreciate that they have a good number of vegetarian options. I ordered the falafel wrap and their “green fresh” juice. The falafel was excellent. I loved that they crisped the wrap and the flavors were really well balanced. I love hot sauce so I added some but definitely was not needed. The juice was delicious and refreshing as well. Would 100% recommend!! I want to come back to try the other things on the menu, especially the desserts and pastries.
Our dining experience at Kolaj was phenomenal! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for our anniversary. The service was top-notch; our server was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations. The Beef Donar & Chicken Shawrma was cooked to perfection, and the spices , flavor was bursting with fresh flavor. The portions were generous, offering great value for money. We felt well taken care of throughout the evening and will definitely be returning soon!"
