Crema's Take

Stella's Place lives and dies by who's behind the counter, and when you get Sonia, it's genuinely worth the trip—her warmth and attentiveness elevate what's otherwise a solid neighborhood spot with reliable traditional coffee and breakfast. The inconsistency is real though: multiple visitors describe being met with coldness or outright rudeness, which completely undermines the relaxed, welcoming vibe the shop is trying to cultivate. Go on a day when the right person is working and you'll find a legitimately pleasant place to linger; catch the wrong shift and you might walk right back out.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast on the menu.

I always have a great experience here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Sonia is always so welcoming and happy and greets everyone with a smile. I tend to go here so she can brighten my day. If ever you are in this area visit this pal e and you will not be disappointed…

What is the point of Stella’s? We thought we were going to a coffee shop and were greeted by a grumpy woman. “Have your ids?” No hello. No smile or friendly greeting. We turned and left.
