Crema's Take

Tucked inside a charming converted house, Corduroy feels like discovering a secret among locals who somehow found this gem despite its lack of roadside signage. They're serious about quality ingredients—think locally sourced peaches and honey in their signature lattes—and the espresso-focused menu balances creative specialty drinks with welcoming, straightforward coffee, all enjoyed from cozy reading nooks or a relaxed porch that's perfect for lingering with family and friends.

Cute little cozy coffee shop set inside of an old house. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside and out, and a reading nook where you can pick up a book and settle in to read. Good spot to relax and stay a while. Unfortunately, I find the drinks and food here to be very average. The homemade seasonal coffee syrups are fun to try. However my latte was much too sweet, watered down, and I could barely taste any espresso. The food is overpriced and underwhelming for what you get; portions are on the smaller side and they are made with ingredients you can get at the grocery store for a better price. It’s an ok spot to chill and catch up, but probably not the best if you actually like the taste of coffee and good food.

Ooomg if you haven't been here yet, it's literally only because you didn't know it existed. The food & drinks here are worth every single calorie. The food ingredients are quality & worth every penny. They make their coffee syrups in house & always have some fun & uniquely flavored coffee creations to try. You will not be disappointed! If you're considering trying this place out, stop considering & go!

So I have a 5 star on food...for full disclosure I did not have food, I had a peach honey latte. The peaches and honey were both locally sourced. This was very delicious! It is a bit sweet, which sweet is not my flavor profile, but I knew it would likely be sweet so I was ready for this! It is a very well balanced flavor overall and overly sweet. I think had I remembered to ask for an extra shot of espresso it would have been perfect!!!

Truly a mom and pop coffee shop. Great atmosphere and many customers in spite of absolutely no signage from the road and confusing parking situation. A delightful converted house with plenty of seating inside and out. Service took a while and the coffee was good.

My kids had the best time yesterday. Va Beach false summer days are some of the best days. Sawdust’s service and menu was fantastic! The location alone is a joyful experience. Sitting out on the porch, having a bite with a gentle wind blowing by. The food is delicious and has such an earthy feel to it. The pimento BLT left me speechless. My kids really enjoyed the playground area and treehouse too.
