TLDR: El Tiesto Cafe Fort Lauderdale delivers on flavor, atmosphere, and service. From fusion dishes like the La Chapi Roll and Tiesto Chofan to tender ribs and dessert, this spot blends Dominican and Japanese flavors seamlessly. Perfect for family dining, celebrations, or a lively night out, El Tiesto Cafe is a must-visit in Fort Lauderdale. Where food meets adventure, see you back at the table! IG: @shallonztable El Tiesto Cafe in Fort Lauderdale is one of those hidden gems you might pass by if you’re not paying attention and that would be a mistake. My group visited to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. From the outside, the restaurant is unassuming. Step inside and you’re greeted by neon accents, an industrial-style space, and artwork that reflects the menu: a thoughtful blend of Dominican and Japanese culture. The atmosphere is lively but approachable, with upbeat music that sets the tone without overpowering conversation. The menu offers a mix of appetizers, sandwiches, sushi, and entrées all blending Dominican comfort with Japanese-inspired flavors. Dining is available indoors and outdoors, with an upstairs lounge that opens later for DJ sessions on weekends, making it a great spot for both dinner and a night out. Family-friendly for dinner, centrally located, with paid street parking and nearby lots, El Tiesto is easy to access. Service: The team stands out. Managers are present and hands-on, ensuring smooth operations. Rollo, in particular, I observed consistently welcomed guests, walked them through the menu, and made the experience effortless. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. What We Ordered & Loved: Mini Mofongos – Beef & Chicken ($15): Served in crispy green plantain cups, garlicky, savory, and comforting. Both meats were juicy and well-seasoned. Picadera de Campo Sampler ($38): A Dominican-style platter with sausage, naked wings, fried cheese, salami, plantains, and yuca fries topped with chimichurri. The wings were seasoned perfectly, the yuca rich and flavorful, and the fried cheese is always a yes. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing. La Chapi Roll ($18): Chicken tempura, bacon, cream cheese, ripe plantain, chicharrón, sweet chili, eel sauce, bell peppers, and mashed avocado. Fully cooked and balanced, with sweet chili adding just enough sweetness to complement the crunch and richness. A must-order even if sushi isn’t your thing. Tiesto Chofan ($20): Dominican-style fried rice with chicken, shrimp, vegetables, and sweet plantains. Generous on protein, perfectly seasoned, comforting, bold, and flavorful. La Cosquillita ($26): 24-hour Dominican-seasoned baby back ribs in homemade Japanese BBQ sauce, served with sushi rice and tostones. Ginger in the sauce shines before the first bite, pairing beautifully with rice and plantains. Tender, flavorful, balanced. Tiesto Tres Leches ($8): Vanilla-forward with spiced, flavorful milk. The cake was light I wished it was slightly more soaked — but still an enjoyable, sweet finish to a bold meal. Notes: 20% service charge automatically included. Paid street parking available. Nightly specials, including Saturday 2x1 drinks from 3–5pm, make early evening visits great.

Melinda was an excellent server. She went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had everything we wanted. She even suggested menu items which was great since it was our first time here. The ambiance was amazing and we’ll definitely be back. The variety of music made it really entertaining for a date night. Food was top tier!

El Tiesto in Fort Lauderdale is a must-visit! My friends and I had such a great experience here. We ordered a variety of dishes—from the Omaiga to the chicharrones and tequeños—and everything was full of flavor and perfectly made. The entrees were just as impressive and left us wanting to come back to try more. On top of the amazing food & drinks, the service was attentive and friendly, and the vibe of the restaurant made the whole day so much fun. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Dominican food and an awesome atmosphere!
