Crema's Take
“Banner Coffee Company has cultivated a genuinely welcoming space where Ryan and the team excel at making both the coffee and the experience feel personal—whether you're settling in for focused work, a Bible study, or just a calm afternoon with friends. The modern, minimalist atmosphere pairs beautifully with their espresso-focused menu and solid breakfast offerings like their breakfast burritos and avocado toast, creating the kind of local spot that keeps people coming back every time they're in town. What really sets Banner apart is how intentionally they've designed the space for connection, with flexible seating from intimate two-person tables to longer communal ones, all backed by thoughtful music and an inviting energy that makes you want to stay.”

Banner Coffee is my local spot and I wouldn't have it any other way. Ryan and the team have built something really special — great coffee, a wonderful atmosphere, and staff that actually makes you feel welcome. Glad they're in the neighborhood.
Pretty good coffee spot with good coffee, drinks and decent breakfast burrito. My wife got the avocado toast, and I got the breakfast burrito and we are both pretty pleased with it although the burrito kind of fell apart and it was a little messy from the aïoli that they put into it. Everything seemed pretty new and clean. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of places to sit I would come back here.
Banner is so inviting and welcoming!! The atmosphere is clean and calm, very good chill music going, great work and bible study space! Lots of seating with 2 person tables all the way to big long tables where you can eat and hang with friends! The food is great along with the drinks and the art on the drinks is perfection! The yogurt parfait bowls and the vanilla latte is my all time favorite thing to get! You order and 2 minutes later you have your delicious food and drink at your table! So recommend checking this place out, thank you banner and everyone apart of making this place so special 🤍
Repeat customer here. Every time I go to AG to visit family, I make sure to make a coffee run to my favorite Central Coast coffee shop Banner Coffee Company. They definitely know what they're doing in terms of brewing coffee and prepping espresso. They offer great handcrafted coffee drinks - you can tell they put real effort into developing their handcrafted coffee drinks, including their seasonal offerings, because they aren't overly sweet like the drinks that a lot of chain coffee shops offer. Their handcrafted coffee drinks are well balanced and offer nuanced flavors depending on the season. Their service is always great and the baristas are super friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. The atmosphere is relaxing - a good place to catch up with friends, for an intimate coffee date, or to just read a book, study or work. Free street parking is available in front of the shop or around the corner on the adjacent street. Highly recommend!
I discovered Banner Coffee Company a few months ago through social media, and it has quickly become one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in SLO County. The space is modern, minimalist, and incredibly open—perfect for getting work done when I need a change of scenery from working from home. What really sets Banner apart is their commitment to high-quality, single-origin coffee. They feature some of the best roasters I’ve seen in the area, including HEX (North Carolina) and Stereoscope (Los Angeles), both in their drinks and as whole beans for sale. Their team is always friendly, and every drink is crafted with great attention to detail—favorites so far include the Maple Butterscotch Latte, Stereoscope single-origin espresso (served beautifully with tonic water), and the Honey Cinnamon Latte. Everything I’ve tried has been exceptional, standing out from other coffee shops in the area. Banner is a true gem on the Central Coast—energetic, modern, and serving up some of the best coffees around SLO county. I’ll definitely be coming back for years to come!
