Asali Desserts & Cafe

Crema's Take
“Asali brings authentic Middle Eastern hospitality to Cary with Turkish coffee infused with cardamom and an impressive array of housemade pastries like kenafa cheesecake and pistachio baklava that rival the beverages themselves. The cozy, warmly-lit space strikes that rare balance between being ideal for focused work sessions and lingering conversations over tea with friends, all while you're surrounded by the aromatic comfort of their specialty drinks and fresh desserts.”

Great desserts and coffee. Ordered Kenafa Cheesecake, pistachio baklava, baklava cheesecake and Turkish coffee. I was completely wowed by the coffee. Seemed to have a slight cardamom flavor which was amazing. The pistachio baklava seemed to pair well with the coffee. The cheesecakes were also very good.
Asali is a great place to spend tea time or coffee time with friends or go alone and work while sipping your favorite beverage with pastries and sweet things or order from their menu. I’m mostly a tea drinker. They have a good choice of teas and coffees. I’ve tried their chai and Karak. Chai is very milky while Karak is a smaller cup with less milk but is very very sweet. I didn’t realize that they use condensed milk to sweeten the milky teas or I would’ve ordered something else- I have to keep my sugar in check. Other than that, Asali has a great vibe and a great number of things you can order.
We love this place. There's such a variety of desserts that it's hard to choose. They also have some really fun drinks that are novel (to me anyway) and it's always such a treat. One day we will remember they have a tea service and try it. It looks so cute and I'm jealous every time I see someone get it. The vibes are immaculate (though it can get a little loud during rushes) and the wifi is decent, so it's a great place to do remote work. HIGHLY recommend their cheesecake.
Checked out Asali Café in Cary and loved the cozy, clean space with its warm Middle Eastern/Arabic vibe. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They’ve got a great variety of drinks and desserts. We ordered the earl grey tea, espresso mocha mousse, and the lady bracelet. Everything tasted great! The lady bracelet was a little on the dry side, but still enjoyable. Overall, definitely recommend stopping by. Perfect spot to relax, sip something tasty, and explore their dessert selection.
Came here with friends and our eyes were delighted by the sweets. We didn’t know what to pick with so many choices. Unfortunately our eyes were deceived. The scone and coffee cake were dry which is why I rated this a 1star there The carrot cake was better because there was frosting. The coffee was good. The staff was friendly and atmosphere was crowded on a Saturday. I spent $25 on two coffees and three desserts.
