Heart Roasters

Many will say Heart Coffee has the best light roast coffee in Portland. The Space on burnside is both roomy and comfy to sit and enjoy a great cup of coffee. I highly recommend Heart if you are in the Portland area in the hart of downtown. No pun intended. -Coffee guy never paid for my reviews, but I love great coffee shops.

My girlfriend and I stopped in to buy a couple bags of coffee yesterday (12/30/25). Heart offers a free 8oz cup of drip with a purchase of a coffee bag. She prefers milk with her coffee and I prefer half and half, so I asked if we could have separate cups (we did buy two bags after all). Mind you - each 10.5 oz bag of was $26 (with no prices listed on bags or on menu board) bringing our total to $52 (seems high, seasonal or not) - but… great!, charge what you want for your product (it is in fact a decent product), but the guy working huffed at my request and said “it’s usually 1 free cup per purchase, but I’ll do it this time - i have enough coffee in this pot”. Lol. Just lol. Wow. I held my tongue, but probably should have returned both bags and bought them separately, to align with this young man’s logic. Portland - think bigger. Be better. I was born and raised here, so I have an ESPECIALLY high eye-roll for those of you who take yourselves so seriously. HAPPY HOLIDAYS KIDDOS!!!! Here’s a cute pic of our haul!!!

Love the vibe of this coffeehouse location on E Burnside. Both the espresso and matcha lattes were delicious and beautifully made with latte art. Barista was friendly just like the other location on SE Woodstock. Highly recommended!

A great “neighborhood” coffee shop with a cool vibe. The pastries are great with lots of lamination in the chocolate croissant that I had. The large latte was tasty from first sip to last. The coffee tastes deeply roasted which is great for the first one of the day, for me at least.

Portland coffee tour cannot be completed without visiting Heart coffee roasters. This is one of the my top tastes in Portland i can pick. Their Honduras, Ethiopia beans are so nice and acidic, flavorful. I can’t wait to taste Honduras Gesha. What a great way to get morning started with a cup of Cardamom latte!! Only downside is there is no branch in SF bay area.
