Crema's Take

Van Dyke Coffee Roaster fills a sprawling hall with high ceilings and vibrant energy, drawing a younger crowd who come for both the carefully crafted drinks and the space to work or socialize. Their Dutch latte paired with stroopwafel and skillfully prepared matcha lattes showcase their espresso-focused expertise, while quality pastries and baked goods make it easy to settle in for a longer visit. It's the kind of place where good coffee, thoughtful preparation, and a buzzy atmosphere come together—just expect it to be lively rather than quiet.

It's trendy coffee shop for young folks. We're in our 60s, so it wasn't really for us. It was really crowded, a lot of people, small tables. It's not a place to lounge and have a deep conversation with friends and families. It's pretty much for young ones. The drinks were okay and the chocolate cake wasn't very good. It was really bland and the cake stuck to your teeth. I wouldn't order it again.

This cafe has a good variety of baked goods, and the seating area is large enough to hang out and enjoy your food comfortably. The Dutch latte comes with a stroopwafel and has a trendy vibe. The mix of cinnamon and salted cream was a great combo rich and exactly what I like. The matcha latte was also decent and solid. They also have pour-over options and sell beans, which is good to know.

I had driven by several times and today I came in to get my usual coffee, the coffee place is set in a large hall with high ceilings, very nice decor, DJ was the gentleman taking the order he was friendly and very personable. I told him that this was my first time in here, he explained to me that this is their second location and only has been opened 4 months, I ordered the Dutch latte, which was the highlight of my visit, this was a delicious latte. Also try their strawberry matcha which was OK. The place was buzzing pack. I recommend it.

I am not a regular coffee drinker and not a fan of the whole "salted" craze. Yes it's supposed to bring out and balance the sweet, but I just think it's salty. I also am not a fan of the orange and chocolate combo. So apparently Van Dyke's Signature drinks are both of what I am not a huge fan of. So instead of just passing on coffee, I decided to try the Dutch Latte. I was pleasantly surprised. The salt was more incorporated versus just sprinkled on top where you can get a mouthful of salt. This made the saltiness more subtle and tolerable. The latte had a creamy top and the coffee had a solid coffee flavor. The cafe is spacious with plenty of seating, although, very few seats were available. I also had their Strawberry croissant. It was huge, had a good amount of strawberry cream inside. A bit messy to eat but good. A definite place to try out.

It says it was a soft opening but amazing matcha latte. The size isn't big, which is fine. You pay for the quality preparation, craft and ingredients. Also liked the prepared pasties and baked good. They had savory and sweet. The ambience inside is nice. Lots of natural sunlight and good place as a quick break or spending time to read a book by yourself or to have conversation with a friend.
