Raining Berries - Southside Village Sarasota
1935 S Osprey Ave, Sarasota, FL
Crema's Take
“This charming South Village spot punches above its weight with an impressive focus on single-origin African coffees alongside creative cold brews and smoothie bowls, making it feel like a specialty coffee destination that doesn't take itself too seriously. The vibe is genuinely welcoming—regulars rave about staff recommendations and the immaculate, Instagram-worthy space that's equally comfortable for a solo coffee adventure or catching up with friends over gelato. It's that rare find where you can trust both the quality of what's in your cup and the care of the people pouring it.”

The CUTEST gelato shop!!!!! Can’t wait to come back and try a bowl and smoothie! Customer service was great and offered excellent suggestions.
Very interesting place. They promote the idea that you can taste single-origin coffee beans, primarily imported from Africa. Although I didn’t quite catch the deep flavor, perhaps because too much cream was added. My advice: if you really want to feel the true coffee taste, order an espresso or plain brewed coffee without any extra additives. The staff is friendly, polite, and supportive. The place itself is clean and painted in vibrant colors. Once you try it, share your experience.
Raining Berries is a delightful shop in South Village. Wide variety of drinks, healthy dishes and ice coffees. Ali my server: 10 stars friendly and helpful with recommendations. Super clean with sit down area and sidewalk seating.
Saw this cute spot driving by and so glad we stopped! Amazing selection of items and reasonable prices. We ordered smoothies at first then asked if they had anything gluten free. Chris let us know they had gluten free bread and we could do the grilled cheese which was fantastic! So glad he recommended it! We had the blueberry fields smoothie and the strawberry honey. Both were delicious, filling and clean. The grilled cheese has pesto and sun dried tomatoes soooo good! Absolutely loved the quality of the ingredients and the blending of flavors. We will be back! Thank you Chris for a great visit and friendly service!
We have always wanted to try this place out and we finally were able to on Saturday it's a cute little place but unfortunately the workers aren't all that friendly. We ordered 2 coffees and an acai bowl. We paid i believe around $12 for each coffee which i thought wasn't bad price since we had gotten them in the gingerbread and snowman cups. Mind you they have on display with a hat and a scarf. So we got out drinks and they only handed us 1 hat and 1 scarf which made no sense since they had them on display with both things but we were only given a hat for the snowman cup and a scarf for the gingerbread cup when we asked for another set they seemed annoyed. Upon further inspection of the cups the gingerbread cup was damaged the hand was all pushed in and when we asked if they had another one they said no that is the last one. I saw one that they had and I asked them if they could give us that one and they said no it's a display one but they had 2 that were on display one on the counter and one just on the wall like come on you charged me $12 for a defective cup and on top of that the coffee tasted like straight coffee and milk when I had gotten a peppermint mocha. We don't think we will be coming back to this place.
