Funny Library

Crema's Take
“Tucked inside Virgin Hotels, this quirky spot combines literary-themed decor with genuinely excellent coffee and a breakfast menu that punches above hotel expectations. The staff genuinely cares—reviewers rave about baristas who take time to understand exactly what you want—and the medium roast is consistently praised as some of the best in the city. It's the kind of place where you'll want to linger over a pastry and good conversation, whether you're a hotel guest or a local discovering a hidden gem.”

Very nice and friendly staff, awesome decor, and good coffee!
Service and food exceeded my expectations! I wasn't expecting much from the breakfast included in my room charge, but Emma who took care of my order was so friendly and took the time to ask how exactly I wanted my coffee and made it happen perfectly. The food (I got the breakfast plate) is also not cheap but was really well-executed and filling!
I would wanted to give 6 stars! Incredible service and amazing good. Next time we will stay in the hotel. Must be a great experience!
Quirky and Cozy Coffee Shop, But Room for Improvement in Espresso Quality During my recent stay at Virgin Hotels in New Orleans, I had the opportunity to visit the funny library coffee shop located within the hotel. While the coffee shop itself has a charming and inviting ambiance, I must admit that I was a bit disappointed with the quality of their coffee offerings. The coffee shop is undeniably a cute and pleasant place to work, gather, or engage in conversations. The atmosphere is cozy, and the library theme adds a unique touch that enhances the overall experience. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, I found the coffee to be subpar considering the price. I ordered a "Large" latte, but it was disappointingly small, comparable to a small-sized latte at other coffee chains. The taste of the latte was just okay, lacking the richness and depth that I look for in a good espresso-based drink. I was also taken aback by the high price of $8 for such a small cup of latte. It felt overpriced for the quality and size offered. In addition to the latte, I also tried their chocolate croissant, which was decent but didn't stand out as exceptional. While it satisfied my craving for a sweet treat, it didn't leave a lasting impression. Overall, the funny library coffee shop has potential, but improvements are needed in the quality of their coffee offerings, particularly the espresso-based drinks. The pricing should also be reevaluated to better align with the experience and taste provided. It would be great to see them work on refining their coffee recipes, sourcing higher-quality beans, and enhancing the overall coffee experience for their customers. Despite the coffee's shortcomings, I appreciate the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the coffee shop. It remains a pleasant place to relax, work, or engage in conversations. I hope the management takes customer feedback into consideration and makes the necessary adjustments to elevate their coffee to match the charm of the space itself.
Really pleasant, cozy cafe in the Virgin Hotel. Excellent coffee, it's a flavorful medium roast, best I've had for a while. Exceptional bacon too. And the "Funny Library" decor is worth seeing. Everyone here was very hospitable.
