Crema's Take
“This tucked-away Edgebrook gem feels like the neighborhood breakfast spot everyone wishes they had, where the new owner's genuine passion shines through in housemade English muffins, creative omelets, and a corned beef hash that's become legendary among regulars. Whether you're catching up with friends over a leisurely sit or grabbing coffee on your way out, the counter service and intimate atmosphere create the kind of place where customers leave saying "see you next week" before they even hit the door.”

After not visiting this location for a few years, I came in on a whim. I can tell that the new owner is amazing and has a passion for cooking. The food was amazing. I had planned to have my typical breakfast dish, but he read off the list of specials, and it was too tempting not to pick at least one. Fortunately, I did, and it was maybe the best sandwich I've ever tasted.
This place is a gem. Their corned beef isn’t salty at all. Goes well with their bed of hash. Do not sleep on their English muffin. First bite, you can totally tell it’s different. Grew up on Thomas Edison’s English Muffin and will have a tough time not comparing. It was perfectly and evenly toasted on both sides of each side of the muffin. Nice ASMR btw. It’s been around since the 1950’s like Moon’s Sandwich Shop. If you’re a fan of Moon’s, come check this place out. It’s a nice place to check out if you’re within the area. Can’t wait to come back.
We attended tonight’s Finer Diner and loved the experience. They were all very attentive and personable. Maybe the best dining experience I’ve ever had. All the courses were amazing. I hope it continues.
Excellent tiny breakfast joint every neighborhood needs. When every patron leaving the place says to the owner “see you next week”, you know it’s a good place. A wide array of omelet dishes and pancakes are quite good. Parking can get tricky by late morning on Sundays. Few non-counter tables are only for two so it is not an ideal place for large parties. Nevertheless, a prefect breakfast place on weekends. Highly recommended.
Absolute gem of a small diner. Counter service and a few small tables, original fixtures, friendly staff, and creative specials; its so tucked away if you blink driving by you'll miss it. The Greek hash and French toast we got were both fantastic and fun twists on traditional recipes. All of the sausage and sauces are made in house and delicious. Absolutely worth the trip out from wicker park. Definitely will try to make it out again to try their other hashes.
