Crema's Take

Lamoone is a beloved neighborhood gem run by a warm Thai couple who've mastered the art of Southeast Asian-inflected coffee and their showstopping handmade Basque cheesecakes in inventive flavors like pandan and ube. Beyond the impeccable creamy cheesecake and thoughtfully sourced Asian beans, the real draw is the inviting, calming atmosphere—intimate enough to feel like you're visiting friends, yet vibrant enough to linger for hours. Whether you're after a coconut pandan latte or just a moment of genuine hospitality, this is where specialty coffee meets genuine connection in Lower Manhattan.

Coconut pandan latte was very delicious and they have a variety of Asian flavored cheesecakes! The store is very aesthetic and calming. When in store the owners were very inviting! Would recommend if you’re looking for a calm place to study or relax with some friends!

A place specializing in basque cheesecake with their own delicious flavors like pandan. They also have really nice beans from asia that they're happy to make a drink for you. Opening hours are not those of a regular cafe which is a pity as I'd enjoy this more. Owners have that dedication to craft that makes you feel transported to a tiny backalley in Tokyo with their amazing family operations run out of a tiny storefront.

The basque cheesecake here was amazing. The cheesecake was creamy and had extremely authentic flavors. The decorations and flowers on the tables were nice and the atmosphere was also really warm and cozy. A perfect place to spend to do work, rest, or chat!

Basque cheesecake handmade to perfection with Asian flavors. Small vibrant little shop open by a Thai couple, they were so friendly and I told them some of the different spots in neighborhood of Lower East Side, and they really enjoyed sharing how they made their basque cheesecakes using fine ingredients. I love their Ube and original and can have this all the time, must try!

All time favorite cheesecake spot in NYC - have the best Asian flavors you can think of-fav is Ube for sure!! It’s super creamy and silky. It’s Asian owned, the owners are so sweet and offers free sample. Their tea is so fresh and delish. They use all natural gluten free ingredients.
