Crema's Take

Tucked in Coeur d'Alene, this beautifully designed hybrid space seamlessly blends a thoughtfully curated bookstore with a specialty coffee café, creating an unexpectedly quiet sanctuary where every architectural detail—from glittering bathroom tile grout to custom oak shelving—feels intentional and artful. Whether you're settling in for a slow coffee and pastry, working through your laptop for hours, or grabbing one of their standout breakfast boards, the craftsmanship and cozy atmosphere make it feel less like a commercial stop and more like a cherished third place.

We came to try their coffee, but the coffee shop part was closed due to technical difficulties. The bookstore was open and we had fun looking through all the books! Hopefully I can try their coffee one day! Employees were fantastic!

Very large book store with tons of space to study, hold meetings, or to enjoy a snack. The decor is unique and creative. I was surprised by how quiet it was, which is a good thing. There are elevators which is nice for wheelchair accessibility. The bathrooms are pleasantly clean as well. I cannot complain.

This place is a work of art. I've never seen such attention to detail in the interior design of a coffee shop or bookstore before. The tile grout in the bathroom *glitters.* I will be coming here again and again and I hope others do too, so it sees the longevity it was clearly intended for.

Awesome place to hang out and read a book, have a coffee, or enjoy an excellent meal. 10/10 craftsmanship throughout—beautiful oak bookshelves, archways, and custom steel railings all over the facility. It’s clear the owners didn’t spare any expense when it comes to attention to detail, and it really gives the place a warm, welcoming vibe.

Hands down my favorite bookstore! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, perfect for getting lost in a new book. Beyond the great selection, their cafe is outstanding; the breakfast board is a must-try, and The Grinder is easily my favorite sandwich in town. Don't skip the gift section either—they have a curated selection of unique finds!
