Mandi Xpress Yemeni Restaurant and Coffee

Food was delicious and portions are very generous. I had a little mishap bc the cashier told me the harada of fahsah was beef and not lamb. I normally cannot eat lamb bc it’s too gamey for me, but this dish was not gamey somehow! The bread that comes with it is hugeee and tasty! Very flavorful and moreish. My husband’s koobideh was also great. We really liked the spicy tomato sauce it came with. I would definitely come back.

Mandi Xpress was very delicious and the portions were well sized. We went during Ramadan on a Saturday, and the buffet was $30.00 per person. The food itself was flavorful, fresh, and there was a good variety of dishes to choose from. The rice and meat were especially well prepared, and overall the quality of the food was solid. However, no drinks were included with the buffet. That meant no soda or even water during Ramadan, which honestly felt a bit diabolical considering people are breaking their fast. There were also no dates available to break the fast with, which is usually a basic courtesy during Ramadan. On top of that, dessert was not included either. Aside from those issues, the atmosphere was nice and the staff were generally friendly. The food quality definitely stood out, but the lack of basic items like water, dates, or dessert during Ramadan made the experience feel a little incomplete. If those small things were added, the experience would be much better overall.

Amazing food and service. Can't wait to come back! Will be back next time we go to K1 Circuit from LA. Highly recommend! Also, manager mentioned everything is organic and they only use extra virgin olive oil. 5 stars!!!!! 🤩

THIS PLACE IS so so yummy! My boyfriend and I stopped by after seeing the amazing reviews and every dish was so beautifully rich and flavorful. The rice is so deep and a slight citrus taste! The chicken and beef dishes were both so tender and delicious! The Naan bread was definitely so yummy and a favorite for us. The portions are HUGE and generous and everything is fairly priced! We will definitely be returning. Staff was friendly but the wait can sometimes be 20ish minutes, even with the restaurant being a bit empty at the time. Plenty of seating + very spacious.

I don’t throw this term around lightly, this is the best Yemeni food you are ever going to have. I’ve had a lot of Yemeni food across the country and none come close to Mandi Xpress in Riverside. The lamb and chicken mandi (huge piece of perfectly cooked lamb, half a juicy chicken on a bed of flavorful rice) for $40 simply cannot be beat. I’d say this is worth it to go out of your way, solely to come to riverside for just to eat here. The lamb is fall of the bone, packed with flavor. The chicken is moist, seasoned well as well. The plate is absolutely massive, nothing is overly salty, dry or under seasoned it is simply as good as you can get. The additional sides like their hummus, babaganoosh and tabouleh are also exceptional. And the sauces really bring everything together. All of this is also complimented by their exceptionally nice staff, in particular the kind lady at the cash register. I am already planning on my next visit here, I promise if you go you will not be disappointed. The location is also super convenient right next to the hike, city center, etc. I cannot say enough good things about the food and experience here!
