“The Chelsea location of Joe Coffee lives and dies by its management team—Jacob and Richard run such a genuinely warm operation that regulars treat their morning visit here like a non-negotiable ritual. The espresso work is solid and consistent (expect silky microfoam on your latte), but it's really the rare combination of excellent coffee, real neighborhood hospitality, and a staff that actually remembers your order that makes this worth making a detour for. If you're tired of sterile specialty coffee shops staffed by people who seem annoyed to see you, this is the antidote.”
