Stopped by Kirby Lane Cafe and got the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked medium rare and super tender. The chimichurri sauce had the perfect amount of tang and added a lot of flavor without overpowering it. I got my eggs scrambled, and they were solid. It also came with toast and Brussel sprouts. Good service overall, and for the price you’re getting a solid amount of food (about 55g of protein), so it felt worth it. I’d definitely order it again.

I haven’t been to the Kirby Lane since I was younger. This place truly never disappoint! Ambiance: The restaurant is pretty big, so there are plenty of different types of seating. I joined the waitlist prior to arriving and was seated fairly quickly. The service is great! Our server was very kind and efficient when checking up on us. Breakfast platter: The pancakes are so fluffy and pair perfectly with the whipped butter and syrup. The eggs and sausage were also very good, and the portion size for this dish is great! French toast: The brioche French toast was super buttery with a nice crisp on the outside. The bread is so fluffy, and it’s a very decadent dish. Potatoes: The side potatoes have a slight Cajun seasoning. They are more of a soft potato than crispy but they were extremely tasty nonetheless.

Yum, on a Thursday evening close to Christmas 2025! Seated right away…Business was very steady but not a mob scene. My breakfast food came out quickly and was really fresh and delish; family’s order looked great and they ate it all. Really good, fresh coffee. FANTASTIC service from Joshua B.; kept coffee cups full and brought us all water, etc. Prices are high but that is THE NORM right now, so caveat emptor, as you know…look at the menu online. Three people at about $72 including 20% pre-tax tip (no need to tip on taxes). We had no apps or dessert or fancy coffees. Eating out is a major SPECIAL TREAT more than ever.

Surprisingly great, though a little pricey. I had some time to burn this morning while my wife was in surgery and figured I would take my kids to a real breakfast place. I had wanted to come here for a while as it seems to be popular in Austin so I gave this place a shot. The facility is clean and orderly and I found the service to be excellent. Surprisingly, even the tap water they serve seems to be filtered instead of the normal tap water you get most other places. Pricing wise though it's not cheap. I paid almost seventeen dollars for my meal (not counting drinks) and my kids got two pancakes each at ten bucks a pop. That said, the quality of the presentation and taste was quite good. The menu too is quite large, a bit too large for me as it's hard to make up your mind, but still, it's neat to have so many options at a breakfast place. If you're looking for a nice breakfast restaurant and don't mind paying a little extra, this place is a great choice.

After a busy morning shopping the entire Ikea floor (twice!) It was time to introduce my 95 year old mother to Kerby Lane. I have been a number of times and love their lemon French toast. Today i enjoyed the California omelet while mom had the Denver omelet with the candied bacon. Scrumptious!. Tristen our server was very attentive and friendly without feeling like she was interrupting. Highly recommend for anyone who likes fresh foods, great service and wonderful flavors.
