19 Cafe
84 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Crema's Take
“This cozy Brooklyn spot excels at the fundamentals: a smooth, thoughtfully pulled espresso that rises above the everyday cup, paired with some of the city's best breakfast sandwiches—their BEC is legitimately excellent, with perfectly balanced bacon-to-egg ratios and a house hot sauce worth requesting. The space itself feels like a well-loved neighborhood gathering place with Korean-influenced breakfast items that taste homemade and fresh, though fair warning that their avocado toast can be inconsistent, so stick to what they do best: the coffee and the breakfast.”

The avocado toast was fairly average. Based on other reviews, it seems the recipe may not be very consistent, as the preparation and ingredients appear to change from time to time. The rye bread was quite thin and lacked much flavor. The avocado mash was a bit runny and felt under-seasoned, and there was a slight sweetness—possibly honey—that didn’t really complement the dish. Despite there being no line, it took about 15 minutes for a single avocado toast to be served, which felt longer than expected. From an overall experience standpoint, some details could be improved. The door frequently opening and closing could be addressed, and having the restroom available for customers would make the space more welcoming.
This is up there with the best BECs in the city. Bagel is amazing and perfect bacon to egg ratio. (Also get their hot sauce on it)
Cozy cafe! They have Korean influenced breakfast items that are so fresh. Feels like a home cooked meal. Pretty decent prices. I frequent often!
Stopped by this cozy place and really enjoyed my experience. The coffee was smooth and flavorful definitely a step above your average cup. What really stood out to me, though, was the ambiance. The space has a relaxed, artistic vibe with interesting artwork on the walls and a variety of cool, eclectic touches throughout. It’s the kind of place where you can sit and think, work, or just enjoy your drink and surroundings. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu!
Fast, affordable, delicious breakfast and lunch options. Cute cozy space, well decorated. It gets a 5 star for as affordable tasty food in a nice space. Things I ordered Drip coffee Avocado & egg bagel with cafe 19 sauce Spicy chicken, kale, mozzarella, egg whole wheat toast Cheese Danish Coffee is standard The bagel was well flavored, and the filling was balanced. The spicy chicken sandwich was full of flavor, not super spicy. I would eat two of them if I could. Danish/pastries are standard (generic ones available in many cafes in NYC), I asked them to toast it up. Space is small, tight but cozy. Fully sat, it can seat about 16 people. Drip, chicken sandwich and Danish costed me $21. Good prices.
