This was my first time visiting this establishment, and I was genuinely excited to support a Black-owned business. I came in with high expectations and an open mind. When we arrived, the first question we were asked was whether we had reservations. The website doesn’t mention that reservations are required, but thankfully they were still able to seat us. After being seated, we waited close to an hour for our food, which was disappointing. Our waitress was warm and welcoming, and I truly appreciated her energy. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff did not come across as friendly or inviting. The overall atmosphere felt cold outside of our server’s service. The decor is absolutely beautiful. You can tell thought and intention went into the design of the space. The food itself was good, well seasoned and flavorful. However, the portions were very small for the price point. I’m from New York and was just looking forward to trying great food in a welcoming environment. While the presentation and flavors were there, the hospitality experience did not match. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the decor was amazing with beautiful local art throughout the space. The food was so tasty and clearly made with care. Overall, such a great brunch experience.
My wife and I went there today and were welcomed warmly right from the start. The hostess and our waitress truly made us feel like family. The food was OMG—delicious. Before visiting, we read a few negative reviews about wait times and a “hidden” gratuity charge. However, once we received the menu, it was clear that the gratuity is clearly posted—some people simply don’t read or pay attention. One of the hosts came over and asked if it was our first time there. When we said yes, he took the time to explain the history behind the restaurant’s name, which I thought was an amazing and thoughtful touch. If you’re ever in the Harrisburg area, definitely add this hidden gem to your bucket list of restaurants to try.
We're visiting from out of town, so I looked around on Google a bit for a brunch spot and found this place. It was a bit of a struggle to find parking, but we were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. Our server was so sweet and the food was delicious! Some of the best french toast I've ever had. Will definitely be back if in the area again!
Was staying in the Hershey area and looking for somewhere to eat, we were so happy that we stumbled on this gem. The service was fantastic and food was to die for. I had the apple cobbler french toast which was a special for the day and my friend had the empanadas. We also had coffee cake to share, probably the best coffee cake we’ve ever had. If I could compare this restaurant to something it would be like a warm hug from your grandmother, definitely would be back if I was ever in the area again.
