Coffee Connection Smithfield

The coffee is excellent but the cups for iced coffee are horrible. With all the money they're making they can certainly invest in a better plastic cup for their customers. Regardless, its a good product overall.

I’ve been going to coffee connection for years and have been a loyal customer. I love the food here and the drinks. But the staff is miserable half the time. There wasn’t a long drive-through line and I was told to pull up to the side because they didn’t want a longer line behind me. There was nowhere to pull up post snowstorm, So I ended up having to run in to get my bagels that they were just putting into a bag and a side of cream cheese for me. Not even toasted. What was the point of me going through the drive-through just to run in and get my own food. Definitely was not happy with my experience today on January 31st, 2026.

The Coffee Connection in Smithfield is hands down the best coffee shop around. Since moving to the area, I’ve been looking for my new go-to spot, and I’m so glad I found this place. The food is absolutely fabulous, the prices are great, and you can tell the management really knows how to run things—everything is smooth, welcoming, and well organized. What truly sets this location apart is the staff. Everyone is so warm and friendly that you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. The service is wonderful every single time, and I so look forward to going there each day. I used to be a daily patron of Brewed Awakening in Johnson (it is a complete 180 degree difference), but discovering The Coffee Connection in Smithfield has been a world of a difference and I’m so thankful! This place has quickly become my new favorite. Highly recommended!

Coffee Connection is easily one of my favorite spots. The coffee is always excellent, but what really makes it awesome is the people. The whole staff is seriously some of the nicest, most genuine folks around — they always greet you with a smile and actually remember you. Joey, the GM, sets the tone for the place and you can tell everyone loves working there. Just an overall great vibe every time I stop in.

I wanted to update my previous review based on the management and their commitment to making things right. While my initial experience was quite frustrating, Joey reached out to me and offered to make it right. He remade my entire order, making sure the drinks were made correctly and with pleasure. I truly appreciate your commitment to your customers and your products! I went to Coffee Connection Smithfield yesterday morning to purchase Coffees for staff. I am a teacher and they have worked hard so I wanted to treat them as a thank you! I ordered 8 drinks to which the manager said "are you kidding me". Im not sure how me ordering 8 is different than havimg 8 people in line on a Friday morning. I was then told they could only take card, so I had no choice but to pay the fee for using credit. I asked for a receipt and was told they cpuld not give me that. Then the drinks started to be made by 3 different people. I asked how they packed drinks for door dash and was there something they could put them in to assist me with carrying them out. No, not even double trays. Thank goodness for a few kind customers helping me carry 8 drinks to my car. Once I delivered my drinks to staff I found out several were made completely incorrect mocha was caramel instead and missing cold foam thst I paid for. Others added sugar and so on. I also tipped ahead because I knew it was a larger order! I did call 4 times and no one answered. Overall the staff looks miserable and treated ne as if I went in amd asked for free items and the product was not acceptable! Very sad I used to enjoy Coffee connection as a treat!
