Crema's Take

This intimate gourmet donut shop in Evanston pairs inventive, small-batch donuts (think pistachio and blueberry-lemon) with solid specialty coffee drinks like nitro cold brew, though you'll want to arrive early since their creative varieties sell out quickly. Tucked inside Ten Mile House without its own seating, it's a charming grab-and-go spot with genuinely friendly staff who'll work with you if your first choice is gone. The vibe is unhurried and welcoming—exactly the kind of place new parents and picky toddlers alike seem to love.

We just had our newborn at Evanston Hospital and my husband stopped for some treats for us. Not nonlinear did we get some fabulous donuts but we found out they served an assortment of goods from Beth's Little Bake Shop! We got a bunch of macarons to give as a thank you gift for the nursing staff (and a few for us bc they are too delicious Not too!!!!!) Love love love!!

Really outstanding donuts. Gotta get there early to get some of the wilder varietals because they do sell out. But even their old fashioned and cinnamon were definitely above the norm. My picky 2 year old and I left quite satisfied. Only knock is the hours: you get a very brief window on the weekend to grab some of these goodies.

little gourmet donut shop with limited selection of freshly made donuts. we came in an hour before close, and they were out of one we wanted. the staff was very friendly and offered to make something similar for us ! additionally, the store owner came out and we chatted a bit. the place is small, and designed for over the counter take-out. we got the chocolate raised, maple cinnamon and the peach filled. the donuts themself were cooked to perfection. each donut melted in your mouth with how fluffy they were. the sweetness for each was just right. the chocolate raised had almost this nutty / toasted flavor to it, and still trying to figure out what it was. the maple cinnamon is simple yet, executed nicely. i loved especially how the peach filling tasted fresh, and juicy. after eating them, im left sitting here wondering how have i never been to this place after being around evanston for so long.

Loved the pistachio doughnut! This place is connected to Ten Mile House so it doesn't have seating of it's own but it's primarily take out. Went here around 11am on a Sunday and it still had plenty of doughnuts available. The pistachio one was bomb.
