Crema's Take

Tucked into the Abacoa neighborhood, Crux roasts their beans on-site and caters to coffee enthusiasts who appreciate the craft—think pour overs and espresso pulled with intention, all served alongside surprisingly excellent bagel egg sandwiches. The vibe leans toward lingering over your cup rather than rushing out, though fair warning: their generous 16 oz iced coffees come in paper cups even if you're settling in for a proper sit-down breakfast. If you're the type who thinks deeply about beans and flavor, this is the kind of place that rewards a visit.

I’m from Syracuse but my cousin lives around the area took me by recommendation. One of the best bagel egg sandwiches I’ve had. Egg was thick and really cheesy. A small iced coffee is 16 oz! In Syracuse, a 16 oz is a medium and spend almost twice as much than what I spent here.

What an incredible business! I ordered whole bean coffee online ahead of a family visit, but procrastination got the best of me. I added a custom note asking if there was any chance my order could be expedited. Even though I don’t live locally, the team went above and beyond by personally hand-delivering my order instead of mailing it—truly saving the day. On top of that, the beans are outstanding. If you’re looking for a coffee roaster that offers exceptional service and a wide variety of freshly roasted beans from around the world, Crux is the place. Highly recommend!

Since I sit down to have breakfast in the place I was expecting a nice white flat on a real cup yet I got it on a paper cup. Coffee taste was good yet lacked foam. Also I was expecting to be served on the table rather than being called to take the order from the counter. The English muffin with eggs, bacon and cheese was very tasty with a very well done bacon really crunchy 👌🏼

Love this coffee shop tucked away in the Abacoa neighborhood. I'm a big coffee guy, and always search for local shops that offer the choices that a self-proclaimed bean nut like to ponder over. This was it, with a great fresh bagel egg and bacon sandwich to go with it. Love the vibe here. And will certainly return.

Website seems to be buggy, no seasonal flavors or specialty flavored coffees. Service was a bit slower than other shops in the area but staff was friendly. Coffee is roasted on site and has good flavor profile. Wouldn't be my first choice for coffee. They do have a food menu and some pastries but we didn't try. The sausage waffle sandwich did look good. Parking was easy to find which is always a plus.
