Crema's Take

Tucked inside the Wayfinder Waikiki Hotel, this poke-focused spot delivers genuinely fresh, craveable food that punches well above typical hotel restaurant standards. The poke is the clear star—consistently praised for quality—though their breakfast spreads and crispy wings suggest a kitchen that takes every plate seriously, making it worth a detour even if you're not staying at the hotel.

We dined at the Redfish a few times during our stay at the Wayfinder Waikiki. Each time the food was fresh and tasted amazing - my favorite was the poke. I have a few recommendations to give: please extend your lunch hours of operation at least till 2:00 pm, we always had to rush to make it there before 1:00pm. Please have salt and pepper shakers on each table so we don't have to hunt the server down each time. The food was slightly on the saltier side, so perhaps advise the kitchen staff to go easy on the salt and lastly the service is extremely slow, it took us 10 min to sit down (even though the restaurant was not busy), another 10 min for the server to come around and take our orders. The food generally came out fast.

Sichuan mushroom nothing taste Sichuan except for the cilantro and chili. Salty. Wrong type of mushroom. Lol Green salad sauce is a type of typical sesame salad sauce which you could find it in every Chinese supermarket in China. Liked the cucumber and tomato slices however just very few pieces of it. Vietnamese ribs taste alright, just grilled, it’d be more special and authentic if it served with some local flavour sauce to dip in. Although that’d make it more salty..😬 Steak is supermarket calibre along with some weird brown plain sauce. Overall for ppl who are well-traveled and picky on food - nothing stand out.

Redfish Waikiki is located inside the Wayfinder Waikiki Hotel, and during our stay we had the pleasure of dining there for both breakfast and dinner. Each meal was delicious from their honey walnut shrimp to their fried banana spring rolls and the service was consistently excellent. If you love poke bowls as much as I do, this is a must-try spot--the restaurant offers around 20 customizable options, and it's tempting to try more than one. One of the highlights of our dining experience was our server, Kaya, who is truly one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered wonderful recommendations, but her true expertise shines when it comes to poke bowls. She was born and raised on Oahu and knows what makes a great poke bowl. Kaya helped me create the best poke bowl I've ever had--and I've had many. Thank you, Kaya for making our meals so special.

Overall good experience. My family and I really enjoyed the appetizers. We got the crispy wings which were delicious, the crab dip also great, as well as the Kalua pig fried rice. I ordered the short rib loco moco which I was not a huge fan of. The meat was tough and not tender like the traditional short rib. Fish was fresh. The mini Malassadas for dessert were delicious accompanied with the horchata ice cream. Servers were friendly.

The food is really, really good! Don't think I've had a bad dish yet. Stayed at the Wayfinder for a week and ate here everyday! Compared to other hotel restaurants, the food is way better. The poke bowl is really fresh with great toppings. Loco moco is better than your typical one. Even the breakfast is good, had the mochi pancakes with ube sauce, really delicious! As a kama'aina, the flavors are both suited for local and the tourist palate. There's even some cool cocktails and a great happy hour! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is the service can get a little iffy. Like a forgotten order or a mistake for a topping. Service is friendly and they immediately correct things. Can't wait to come back to Hawaii to eat here again!
