Crema's Take

Tucked into the Sierra foothills, this cozy café feels like a beloved local secret, where homemade pastries (those legendary muffins!) and genuine warmth from the staff make every visit feel like coming home. Their coffee hits just right whether you're fueling up before a mountain drive or settling in for a leisurely breakfast, and they treat your four-legged friends like valued regulars. It's the kind of unpretentious spot where you can linger over excellent baked goods and actually connect with people, far from the usual tourist café buzz.

Great baked goods for my "save for later" milk-n-cookies. Great coffee and friendly staff. The treated my dog as one of the humans..

After spending one night in Sierraville, we came to Smithneck Farms for a quick bit of breakfast and caffeine fix before heading home. There aren’t a ton of options in Sierraville for breakfast and this one is more of a grab and go. There is no indoor seating and only two small tables outside. My husband and I both ordered the breakfast burrito which came with eggs, cheese, sausage, and potatoes. My dad ordered the breakfast sandwich which came on an English muffin and his choice of sausage or bacon. My husband ordered a plain latte while I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. There were some breakfast, pastries, and other items, but we did not partake. All in all for a quick bite of breakfast and caffeine fix, it’s not bad. If you are looking for more of a sit down breakfast spot, I would recommend the place next-door.

We just stopped for some coffee after dinning at the local Mexican restaurant across the street. We definitely recommend this little cafe. Our coffees were great!!! Apparently their homemade pastries and sandwiches are delicious too. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Wonderful place. Kind folks and nice atmosphere. And the smoked meatloaf sandwich is fantastic. I’ll be back tomorrow for breakfast.

Great little coffee shop literally out in the middle of nowhere. Very small, but they have nice home-made goods for breakfast and their muffins are gigantic (as shown in photo). Perfect spot to hit if going or coming to the Hot Springs (literally 1/4-1/2 mile away).
