Crema's Take

This Financial District newcomer brings authentic Japanese coffee culture to San Francisco with meticulous espresso work and creative drinks like their standout Kuromitsu Latte that the owner personally adjusts to your taste. The minimalist, window-lined space strikes that perfect balance between a serious coffee destination and a welcoming laptop-friendly refuge, where knowledgeable staff are genuinely passionate about walking you through their Japanese beans and matcha offerings. Beyond the exceptional coffee, their Japanese food—like the acclaimed Chashu Sando—makes this feel like a complete culinary experience rather than just another specialty café.

I’m happy that FiDi has a new resident that’s offering high quality Japanese coffee and Japanese-inspired drinks and food! I tried their Kuromitsu Latte and the owner was kind enough to adjust the level of sweetness. Happy to report that it’s ✨not too sweet✨ with a very pronounced Sakura flavor that doesn’t taste artificial! The kuromitsu was subtle but added a layer of complex sweetness to the coffee. The coffee shop also offer coffee bags from Japanese coffee roasteries such as Glitch Coffee from Tokyo. I’m already posting a PSA to my friends who work around this area. I hope they’ll receive more and more patrons so that they’ll become a long term resident for this area that is in dire need of better coffee options!

Another great coffee shop that obviously cares about their craft. The space is simple. The workers are kind. And the espresso is top notch. They even have some samples where you can smell the different beans that they have for the day. The Sakura Kuromitsu is outstanding, and you can't go wrong with any of the onigiri. I hope people continue to show this shop some love. Can't wait to try it again!

Came here for the first time today. It's been on my list of places to visit on a Tuesday 11:00 a.m. it was not too busy. I found a spot facing the side window next to another guy on a laptop. I figured I would park there for about an hour while I enjoyed my iced mango matcha drink. It was super tasty and I can confirm that everything everyone has said is true. They put tons of matcha in there. More than I usually put, but I am not complaining 🙂 If it hadn't been such a cold day, my hands might not have been so cold... But the drink only comes iced. Apparently it's a small business that just popped up due to the downtown revitalization program. Great for anyone looking for a delicious beverage, especially on a warm day right smack in the middle of financial district. San Francisco needs more businesses like this. So everyone come and support! I want to come back and try the coffee flight. It sounds amazing. Of course you cannot go anywhere in San Francisco without overhearing. Talk about AI and starting companies these days. So bring headphones if you don't want to hear haha. San Francisco has no shortage of coffee places and I've made it my mission to check them all out. If you're going to spend $7 to $8 on a drink, don't miss this super cute Cafe. It's not a big space. It would probably fit about 20 people max with half that number seated. They had a food options like onigiri which I love and bowls. But I didn't eat anything because I ate before I came. But it sure did look tasty. Not very big question so I recommend for a snack. Service was fast and everyone was really nice. I wished everywhere in San Francisco was like Wild Fox. Ps. I walked right past Daniel Lurie are amazing mayor!! He was standing in front of a florist stand chatting with them. Not sure if he was shooting an Instagram real video. But this is how I get a lot of my news about San Francisco these days 🙂

The Wild Fox is an amazing new coffee and matcha spot in FiDi. The staff are passionate and knowledgeable about Japanese coffee and tea and made us feel very welcomed when we asked about their products. I ordered the Matcha Mango Shizuku which was perfectly refreshing and balanced. My partner ordered the Japanese coffee competition flight and was impressed by the complex flavors and presentation. Their food and pastry selection looked unique and I can't wait to come back to try their sandos and onigiri. The space is chic and would be an excellent place to bring a coffee date or do a little work on your laptop. Overall this is the perfect place if you're looking for top quality Japanese coffee and matcha with unique options and excellent service.
