Sip Cafe
3939 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN
Crema's Take
“Housed in a charming converted bank building where salvaged safes and vintage hardware blend into the furniture, Sip Cafe strikes that rare balance of being both a serious coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming community gathering spot. Whether you're settling in for work on their laptop-friendly couches, grabbing a caramel frappe that lives up to the hype, or treating the kids to ice cream on a sunny afternoon, the staff's warmth and the thoughtful, quirky atmosphere make every visit feel special.”

I picked up my boys Doc and Laz from school and, with the sun out and temperatures near 70, decided to grab ice cream on the way home. We stopped at Sip Cafe off Gallatin Pike. They’re still running a limited menu after the recent power outage from the icepocalypse, but they had banana pudding—my favorite—so I ordered that. The boys waited in the car and came in at the last moment. I ordered for everyone: cookie dough for Doc, mint chocolate chip for Laz. Mint chocolate chip was the wrong choice. Laz took one bite, stiffened, and loudly declared, “I HATE MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP!” He threatened to throw it away. In public. With conviction. That was my cue to usher them out and head home. The banana pudding was excellent though. And Doc was happy with his cookie dough. Staff was friendly despite the reduced menu. Overall I give Sip Cage five stars. Laz gives it no stars—but this is the same child who once gave five stars to a half-chewed piece of gum he found in a sink.
Lilly Was soooo amazing just overall a great experience. Not to mention the Carmel frappe was outstanding and sooo delicious!! I will be coming back and most definitely recommend others to come.
Exceptionally charming coffee and ice cream shop with quaint interiors and options to please everybody. The vegan vanilla was delicious, we love Drew’s brews and the kids enjoyed the sherbet and hot chocolate.
Honestly, I’m just visiting Nashville for the weekend and we needed a Saturday night pick me up and this is the place to be. The service was quick, the atmosphere is awesome, and the workers are very chill and welcoming. Shout out to the worker in the green hoodie, glasses, nose ring/piercing, and beard (sorry I didn’t get your name) who was just a nice cool human. Thanks! I’d 100% go back
Love that this is in an old bank and they upcycled old safe doors and hardware into functional furniture pieces. Staff was so very nice! Cool table with inset and comfy couch. Love the atmosphere. Cool art from kids here and there.
