Crema's Take
“This charming Alexandria Thai spot wins hearts with its stunning floral entrance and elegant modern interior, making it as much a visual destination as a culinary one. While their specialty drinks get mixed reviews—some find the Thai iced tea latte confusing rather than delightful—the restaurant truly shines when it comes to cocktails, which are expertly mixed, and select dishes that deliver authentic flavor. It's the kind of place where the atmosphere and service create a memorable experience, especially for a special occasion or leisurely sit-down meal with friends.”

FOOD SAFETY issues. They actually delivered me ROTTEN mango! And I don’t know what’s in the thai iced tea latte, but there certainly isn’t any thai iced tea flavoring or coffee. It’s just some weird kind of milk with a bit of coloring. Tiny portions - the pad thai is mostly bean sprouts, and check out the size of the “Oreo” ice cream. The crepe is soggy and inedible.
Lunch was a bit disappointing. My pad kra pow was admittedly really good. My friend’s green curry was lackluster at best. Water was always empty and the restaurant was almost empty as well. I can tell why: the “lunch specials” are $20. And a minimum suggested tip is 20% and goes all the way to 30% is so crazy to me. Sadly I don’t think it’s worth it anymore for me for a $30 lackluster lunch
It was Christmas Eve and we were looking for somewhere in Old Town Alexandria to get food. So glad our search led us to Sisters Thai🌟!! I was super impressed and dare I say blown away by just about everything! From the Tom Ka soup right through to the Drunken Noodles - each dish we had was packed with flavours that were bold, authentic, and beautifully balanced. The service was great! Despite it being super busy - our sever was very attentive (especially on a holiday evening), and even came to let us know the kitchen was closing and if we wanted desserts, we had 10-15 mins to place the order/s. The venue itself is really unique/trendy - I would describe it as a fun, unexpected blend of a cozy French bistro aesthetic with a Thai twist—warm, stylish, and welcoming. A total gem in Old Town & I can’t wait to go back!
Sisters Thai is truly a charming spot — the décor alone makes the visit worthwhile. The floral entrance is stunning, the interior stylish and modern, and the chandeliers add a touch of elegance you don’t usually expect from a casual Thai restaurant. I had a beautifully presented cocktail that was refreshing and delicious, and the curry was rich, creamy, and full of fresh shrimp and vegetables. Everything tasted vibrant and comforting. Service was friendly, and the overall vibe makes it a lovely choice for a relaxed dinner or a cute night out. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the experience felt a bit rushed, and at 10 PM they turned on the bright lights as if signaling guests to wrap up — which felt too early and slightly disruptive especially being on a date. Other than that, it was a delicious and visually beautiful dining experience — definitely worth visiting! 🌸🍜🍹
Had an amazing meal. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Their cocktails were perfectly mixed. We got a couple of dishes and every single one of them tasted great and full of flavors. The sisters fries rice was one of the best fried rices I’ve had so far.
