Cathedral Coffee
7530 N Willamette Blvd, Portland, OR
Crema's Take
“Cathedral Coffee pulls off that rare trick of feeling both like a polished specialty coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming neighborhood hangout, where espresso-focused drinks and creative specialty beverages get the same meticulous attention as the warm brick-and-wood atmosphere that makes you want to linger for hours. The staff's infectious friendliness paired with their thoughtful craft—whether you're ordering a precisely-pulled espresso or one of their standout lattes—creates that kind of place where you go for coffee and accidentally become a regular. With both cozy indoor nooks and outdoor seating, Cathedral works equally well for a quick caffeine hit, a working session with your laptop, or a slow afternoon where the excellent pastries and great music convince you that time has stopped.”

Portland has plenty of choices for coffee, but Cathedral rises above most of them! Their standard coffee offerings are well executed, their specialty drinks are amazing and their food options are very high quality. The staff is genuinely pleased to see you and the vibe is fantastic. Cannot wait to go back!
Delicious lattes and a friendly staff. Chill vibe with great music, warm brick and woodwork inside. They do have an outside seating area as well. Highly recommend if you want a friendly local vibe and great java!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This coffee shop doesn’t just serve coffee — it performs a full-blown caffeine opera.” You ever walk into a place and immediately know you’re about to get emotionally attached to your beverage? That’s this coffee shop. The moment I stepped in, I was hit with the smell of roasted beans so powerful it felt like a motivational slap to the face. I swear I heard “Eye of the Tiger” faintly playing in the distance — or maybe that was just the espresso machine gearing up for battle. The barista wasn’t just making coffee; they were conducting a symphony. Milk was frothed like it owed someone money, shots of espresso were pulled with the precision of a NASA launch, and that little cocoa powder dusting on top? A Picasso-level masterpiece. I ordered a cappuccino, but what I received was an experience. I think it winked at me. The foam alone could’ve filed taxes — that’s how much personality it had. And the pastries? Don’t even get me started. The croissant was so buttery I almost slipped into a trance, and the muffin looked at me like, “You sure you’re ready for this commitment?” Spoiler: I wasn’t, but I ate it anyway. Even the decor goes hard. It’s like a Pinterest board got a caffeine rush and said, “Let’s make this happen.” Cozy chairs, exposed brick, and plants that look happier than most people I know. Bottom line: if you want a place where your coffee has character, your pastries have attitude, and your barista might just give you a life pep talk while steaming milk — this is the spot.
I really love the laid-back vibe of this place! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Whether you're dining in or getting it to go, the coffee is excellent! There is a nice selection of sweet and savory food items as well. Chill music playing in the background creates a nice atmosphere for a friendly chat or doing some work on your laptop. If you're looking for some reading material, you'll likely find something on one of the bookshelves in the reading nook. There is usually plenty of seating, and a number of wall outlets available to charge your phone and electronic devices. If you're in the area, definitely stop in!
this coffeeshop differs from others in that everything inside and outside is made under the old style, tables, chairs, interior and so on. interesting, but in my opinion too much, because the view is as if no one has done repairs here for many, many years. I saw a different building made in the old fashioned way and everything was different there. the coffee here is soft without a bitter taste (for an amateur), the employees are very pleasant, polite and bistro work, I'm happy thank you. it's like a home environment. you can work and hold a business meeting and sit with a friend, there is enough space. I think for those who are close lives a favorite place, because there are always people here. good luck guys!!!
