Crema's Take
“This charming chocolate cafe is a delightful multi-sensory destination where you can linger over thoughtfully crafted coffee and specialty drinks while indulging in house-made chocolates and pastries in a surprisingly spacious, family-friendly setting. What truly sets it apart is its quirky connection to the Indiana Dinosaur Museum right next door—making it the perfect pairing of caffeine, sweets, and prehistoric adventure all in one spot. The friendly staff and reasonable prices make it feel less like a tourist stop and more like a genuine local gem where kids and adults alike find something to love.”

Fun place to visit. A lot of options including popcorn, ice cream, coffee, some food, and of course chocolate. Seating feels odd as it is all along the wall. Other then that it's a cool place to visit
Clean, spacious, reasonably priced, good food, good chocolate, friendly staff. My kiddo loves the grilled cheese and tomato soup. This is a nice place to stop for lunch before or after making your way through the attached dinosaur museum.
This fun destination is connected to the Indiana Dinosaur Museum. If chocolate is your jam, then this place is a great place to visit! The staff were friendly and the candies were delicious! Be sure to check out the Outlet Store for good deals on a wide variety of treats! This would be a fun place for a short visit with your children.
Sometimes you wake up and think "I want to have some coffee, learn about chocolate, eat lunch, see some bison, and go through a dinosaur museum." Good news. You can do it all in one place! The parking lot was quite full on a Friday morning but most people were there for the dinosaur exhibit. We did the chocolate tour. It wasn't as good as the old tour in the downtown location but I expect it will improve over time. The reason for four stars instead of 5 is that the tour was silly expensive for what it was. There is a self guided portion at the start and end but the tour itself wasn't more than 10 minutes. It's hard to recommend for $20/person. We walked the trails all the way to the end to see the bison. The trails were easy but could benefit from a simple trail map at the start instead of just a list of destinations. It wasn't clear that they were basically all along the same path. We were frequent visitors of the old facility and it's fun to see their huge new space. If prices come down a bit then this would be an easy recommendation. Oh and don't miss the factory seconds down the hallway from the coffee and food! Everything in there was $12.99/lb which is much cheaper then their stuff out front.
The newly opened South Bend Chocolate Cafe near the South Bend airport is a delightful extension of the charm and offerings found at the downtown location. This cafe is a perfect pit stop, especially with its convenient airport proximity, and it features an enticing array of treats that cater to all tastes. Like its downtown counterpart, this location boasts a full menu that includes delicious ice cream, smoothies, cheesecake, coffee, and an array of other beverages like hot chocolate and chai. The food items available from various counters add to the diverse selection, ensuring there's something for everyone. A unique and delightful find was the Dinosaur Ice Cream treat, a clever nod to the onsite Dinosaur Museum. This special item adds a fun and thematic twist to the cafe’s offerings, enhancing the overall experience and was incredibly yummy. The service here stood out remarkably; it was prompt, polite, and exceptionally friendly, adding a warm and welcoming layer to our visit. Additionally, the cafe houses an outlet store section where you can find discounted seasonal and "almost perfect" items, making it a great spot for snagging a deal. Overall, the new South Bend Chocolate Cafe location is well worth the visit. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, a tasty treat, or a warm beverage, this cafe delivers with quality and hospitality. It’s a delightful new addition to the area that shouldn’t be missed.
