Crema's Take

Tucked into Old Louisville, this charming Spanish-inflected bakery has become a beloved neighborhood gem thanks to its stellar pastries—from impossibly flaky apple strudels to perfectly crunchy conchas—and a genuinely warm, gracious staff that makes every visit feel like stepping into someone's kitchen. The beautiful tile work and inviting atmosphere make it an ideal spot for lingering over coffee and conversation, whether you're a regular or stumbling upon it by happy accident. What really sets La Pana apart is the baker's personal touch and genuine hospitality, creating a space where exceptional baked goods and human connection feel equally important.

They staff are so gracious and inviting. This is one of Old Louisville's best new places, by far!!! The only thing better than the baked goods are the actual baker himself. Such a nice guy and talks with my Mom every time we're there!! He even comes out to see her at her car!!

Very cute cafe y bakery it has a Spanish vibe to the atmosphere which I love! The tile in the dining area is beautiful. They do not sell burritos, I repeat they no longer serve burritos! But the blueberry scone!!! Was the softest scone I’ve had around town and it had a slight buttery taste nothing overpowering. You can tell there’s a community vibe in and around the bakery with how the employees interact with the customer base. The spreading of good vibes.

La Pana Bakery is one of my favorite hidden gems in Louisville. The apple strudel and Danish are incredible. The strudel has this perfect texture—flaky on the outside, soft and gooey in the center, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Danish was so good I didn’t even get a picture of it because I crushed it immediately. If you’re into fresh, legit pastries, this place needs to be on your list.

I found this place on accident and decided to try it, and was VERY pleasantly surprised by how great the service was AND the pastries. These are the best pastries I’ve had in this area!!! I would recommend the almond croissant 100%!!!! I wish the cherry danish had a filling or more flavor throughout it, but my hubby liked how simple it was !
