Colectivo Coffee Swan Blvd.

I met some out of town friends for lunch on Saturday, February 14th .... Yup, Valentine's Day. It was busy, but not so busy that we couldn't get served, and food within 15 minutes. The chicken, avocado, bacon sandwich I had was really, really good. I love the energy of this place.

THIS is what was in my matcha latte. Some hard plastic/paper-like pieces, tons of them floating around. No idea what it is but could this possibly be a health hazard? They also messed up my order, I ordered a bacon and cheese english muffin and they gave me ham instead but that's the least of my worries. What did I just ingest in my drink?! I will be looking into this further. IF YOU COME HERE, DO NOT ORDER MATCHA AND IF YOU DO, PLEASE CHECK YOUR DRINK BEFORE DRINKING!

WORST hot chocolate I've ever had. WORST! Taste like water. Waste of $5!!!! I'll never go back. If they can't get hot chocolate right, shame on them. Now I gotta make an extra stop to Kwik Trip for one.

I want to start by saying that I really like Colectivo Coffee and have been a loyal customer for quite some time. Unfortunately, today may have been my last visit to this particular location. The barista at the front (my cup says “Joe,” though I’m not sure if that’s her name) made me feel discriminated against. She did not greet me, rushed through my order, and gave me side glances that felt dismissive. I also noticed that she greeted other customers, but not me. I value good service and professionalism, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously so all customers feel welcome.

Another nice Colectivo. Stopped in on Memorial Day for a London Fog. While I felt a little bad that some folks had to work on this day, I also appreciated the fact that they were there. Had terrific service (shout out to Troy) and an excellent drink (perfect with a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam). My friend got an iced Chai Latte which was also very good. Plenty of seating either insider or out.
